Love how giddily happy you are in this video, lol. And yeah I get excited too when I find random pieces of paper stuck inside old books, or even just notes on the margin, gives me goosebumps thinking about the people who left them.

I haven't got the time to be part of the nowhere collective but I hope after the winter holidays (I'm from Argentina) I can do it. Beautiful videos, beautiful writing and human being. I'm also thinking of reading Monsters: A Fan's Dilemma this summer. Dederer did an event at the bookstore I worked at and I really enjoyed listening to her speak, if her book is as fascinating as she was in conversation, I think it's gonna be really good :)

Ahh, enjoy Monsters by Claire Dederer. I read earlier this year and it is one of my favourite reads of 2024 till now. It also lead me to Art monsters by Lauren Elkin, which I bought a while ago, but haven't read yet. I am currently also in my non-fiction era. My read right now is Doppelganger by Naomi Klein, am working my way through that quite slowly, but would recommend.

fascinating subject for that book about artists and their moral failings and separating the art from the artist. I don't think there is a definitive answer, although I have thought about it alot, because some of my favourite writers have been quite immoral in some ways. I come down on the side of appreciating the good art and great art despite how their author may have been, or despite their views. but I think its worthwhile understanding the personality and failings of the artist too

Bukowski is a great poet, and what makes it so is his sensitivity, his hard striding attempts to hide it from his core audience was always futile and any reader who can read between the lines catches on quickly, this is one flower-soft being, Love is a dog from hell shines strongly.
