This traditional dish of Gujarati cuisine is every Gujarati's favorite, its prepared with lentils and wheat flour as main ingredients. Dal Dhokli is a very comfort food, its sweet, spicy and tangy lentil stew with freshly made wheat noodles cooked in the lentils.
Ingredients:
1 Cup Wheat Flour
1 tsp Oil
Salt to Taste
1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
1/4 tsp Carom Seeds
1/2 tsp Sesame Seeds
1 tsp Red Chilly Powder
1 tsp Coriander Cumin Powder
Cooked Toor Dal (1 Cup Split Pigeon Peas + 4 Cups Water + 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder + 15-20 Peanuts + salt and 1 tsp Oil)
1 tsp Oil
1/4 tsp Mustard Seeds
8-10 Curry Leaves
1/2 tsp Achaar Masala
1/4 tsp Dry Fenugreek Seeds
1/4 tsp Asafoetida
3 Dry Red Chillies
1 Chopped Tomato
Water as Required
Cooked Dal
1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
1/2 tsp Coriander Cumin Powder
1 tsp Ginger Chilly Paste
1 tsp Red Chilly Powder
1/2 inch Ginger
1 tsp Fresh Coriander
1/2 Cup Jaggery
3 tsp Tamarind Water
Salt to Taste
Fresh Coriander
