I have always thought Kyle was one of the best drivers in NASCAR, but it was his attitude that ruined it for me to cheer for him. Now that he’s gotten older I’ve seen him changing his attitude and that’s why I have become a big fan of Kyle Busch. Seeing him on this podcast you really do get to see the man he has become and that’s a great father and a great friend to a have in your life. He still always going to be “Rowdy” and that’s great for NASCAR. I really do hope he becomes a regular on the Dale Jr download. Dale Earnhardt Jr you will always be my favorite driver you and your dad. I use to always tell my friends it’s the Dale Jr and Dale Sr show on the track. Thanks for all the memories and for the Dale Jr download. Oh tell Mike is awesome. 😂👍 God Bless.

It's common for NASCAR fans to hate the best drivers for the first several years of their career (Dale Earnhardt Sr., Jeff Gordon, Darrell Waltrip, Tony Stewart). After that, two things happen: one thing is that the fans start realizing how talented the driver is and how boring it will be without them in it. The other is that the driver begins to grow up and mature over time. Whether people like him or not, his talent is undeniable.

Look for and watch the video from 2011 "the Bristol speed trials" a guy in a winged sprint car and another one in a supermodified went back and forth for the half mile world record. The sprint car eventually took it averaging almost 145. Both were doing just about 160 on the straights. Indy cars wouldn't be able to do that, the track is actually too short for them. They tested one years back and that was the issue.

Can also voice command asking it for lap times or fuel strategy ect ect! Hope you read this and use it to your advantage if your not using actual spotters.

Hey Jr. I have a question for you. I figure since you grew up with your Dad racing you might be the best to answer. Not including the safety changes ( I think NASCAR has done an awesome job with those ) what do you think about the changes in things like the lucky dog and mandatory cautions ? I know I would watch Dale senior race every weekend and it was always so exciting watching those guys racing so hard not to go a lap down and once they did trying so hard to get back on that lead lap. Now it seems like it is no big deal to go a lap down as long as you are faster than the rest of the slower cars. Thanks, love your show.

I’ve been saying for over a decade now, in or around the SiM community or within my peer group(s) that SIM will be a significant part of real life racing and that it will play a significant role with racing teams in various disciplines. Many of my peers or even some family would crack jokes or make fun of the fact that I was playing video games as an adult. I would explain to them, they use simulators to train pilots, so why not race car drivers. Just think of the money that can be saved alone for race teams. Yes you still need the track time of course, but learning the track, I believe SiM is and should be an important part of a race teams tool chest.
