Im 17 and a Junior in high school and all the time in school there is planning for your future and what college you plan on going to so that you can get a job to make money just the normal life. But my passion is in skateboarding and snowboarding and adventuring and I don't want to live in fear of insecurity and end up just getting a 9-5 for the rest of my life. I have been reading a lot of self help books like Think and Grow Rich and videos like this from a genuine person inspire me so much and show an exact example of what these self help books are preaching. If you put litteraly your all into your passion and don't give up then you will reach success which is what this video tells me. I constantly think about how I can continue having skateboarding and snowboarding in my life even if im not pro. Thank you Dale for truly showing that the possibilities are endless.

@@psychoblack1411 Hahaha, well that might have worked 4 years ago, but wouldn't work today. Also, the real 'key to success' is to provide worthwhile content or a subscriber count is literally meaningless. Dale sells clothing and is using KZbin for promotion more so than a direct income source I'd say. In terms of requiring 'followers' to buy whatever it is you're selling, this is true for ANY type of business. Even if you sell paper weights, you'd still have to find your customer base somehow. It has little to do with getting a bump in subscribers by someone like John Hill. Even when that's probably how I found Dale's channel too.

It’s just always seemed out of reach, but when I listened to this video it really changed my outlook on becoming what I always wanted, and actually make a living off skating making KZbin vids is so brilliant.. idk why I never thought of it in the first place. But I hope I can someday have my own skate clothing line and skate for myself making a living off it and just being happy. Been a while since I felt happy and this video made me feel like that and that there is a possible chance for this to work out and it’s just hard for me to put into words how to thank you for being so real and never changing up. it’s crazy i came across this video, i’m 16 and i just had a long talk with my mom about how i want to devote my life to something i’m gonna enjoy instead of living a boring life like everyone else. and i explained to her how i want to put hard work into something that i love doing. and seeing this is so inspirational. i’m gonna show this to my mom and tell her how well you put the feeling into words. she seems hesitant about it all and i think this will better explain what i was feeling.

I was looking for a sweatshirt for tomorrow and I found a Slammin sweatshirt I didn't even open when it arrived this summer. It made think, what's up with Dale. So I clicked on this video. This video is great. I appreciate your story, your work ethic, and your vision.

Thanks Dale & John. This is literally my goal, don’t want to work in a crummy 9-5 or in the corporate world. I’m finishing school this year and searching for my future career. Y’all are definitely an inspiration

Your insights are encouraging and the truth. I rarely see this genuine account of life in most of the world. It was inspiration at it's core. Very Well Done 👍

I feel the same as if my whole life skating was not getting me anywhere despite a fee sponsors & flow but its like I love just skating, meeting people & not having a skate shop to manage with non motivated skaters & shady people. I hope I can be here one day but its been harder since 2020. I've followed John for awhile & am proud of the guy. He's a real true skater & that is real.

Im really happy for you that everything worked out and hopefully one day things will work out for me too.

This video is such an inspiration to me, I'm 16 and dreaming of starting a skate company and I keep getting put down on it but you helped me realize it's not as hard as I think if I just commit to it no matter what other people have to say about it
