I love how in the classic series Daleks could be taken out pretty easily by anyone, they've been drowned, beaten to death and even attacked by Frankenstein successfully in the past but after the time war they've upgraded to be a bit more resilient.

For anyone wondering what ever happened to the multi coloured redesign of the Daleks aka the New Dalek Paradigm and why we didn't really see their new assigned roles play out on TV. An article from the radio times explains the closes we have to a in universe explaination comes from a section of the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff. This is where people would enter a dalek space ship and see the Dalek Paradigm being attacked by an army of normal bronze Daleks. In the exhange of words that follows it's revealed the bronze Daleks come from Davros and the two sides are at war over who are the true and pure Dalek race. This means that there could have been a third Dalek civil war that wiped out the multi coloured Daleks or at the very least reduce their number dramatically. The behind the scenes reason is more simple, the general reception of the new designs wasn't that good so Steven Moffat basically brought back the bronze ones to act as the solders and the new designs would be the ones in charge. However as you may have noticed the new designs were slowly faded away into the background to cameo roles.

I’ve always liked tot hunk that at their peak in the Last Great Time War, the Daleks had ascended to become masters of Space to the same level that the Time Lords are masters of Time. To the point where some of their inventions and advancements actually *exceed* what the Time Lords we’re capable of themselves, like the Voidship, a vessel that even the Doctor thinks is just flat impossible when he first sees it.

In Fallout: New Vegas, if you select the Wild Wasteland trait and try to enter The Strip without paying, the Securitrons at the gate will all say "EXTERMINATE!" at the same time. Me and a friend used to also have a role play that spanned many years where we were children of the Greek Gods and incorporated many aspects from my various favorite games, including Mass Effect, Metro 2033, Fallout, and many more. One part was when we were facing a threat from outside the Galaxy and we eventually got in contact with the Daleks, who had been fighting the threat we were and we cooperated to destroy them. After seeing our Galaxy's prowess at war, we had earned a respect with the Daleks and they left us in peace. Just thought I'd mention it for any who'd be interested.
