When the Human-Dalek Hybrid starts to show signs of Human emotion that defies his Dalek nature, the rest of the Cult of Skaro turn against him.
During this scene, Dalek Caan's voice changes from low-pitched to sounding like Dalek Sec's old voice. This was because Nicholas Briggs was hurting his throat doing the deep Dalek Caan voice and wanted his voice to become higher-pitched after he becomes the leader.

Actually, it's Dalek Caan who says that line. You can tell which Dalek is which by their voices: Caan at first has the deepest voice of the four, then in this scene, his voice changes to the same pitch as pre-hybridisation Dalek Sec.

That’s actually Dalek Thay and Dalek Jast speaking respectively. For some reason Jast’s voice wasn’t as high pitched in this scene except when he said “The Doctor will step away from the controls” and “The Doctor is escaping, stop him, stop him!” Dalek Caan remained silent in this scene.

The ironic part is Dalek Caan betrayed not one but two of his own leaders. However they were for polar opposite reasons. Caan betrayed sec because he had mutated his genetics and saw that he was no longer a Dalek because, he could not look past the blindness of Dalek purity. He betrayed Davros however because he saw the Daleks history throughout time and space and came to the same conclusion as Sec, he understood that the Daleks must be destroyed. In a sense Dalek Caan became impure himself. As the supreme rightfully says he is an abomination to Dalek kind. Caans mind mutated and evolved. One plot hole Moffat created though Is that Dalek Caan didn’t foresee the creation of the Paradigm Daleks. Ohh well that’s a story for another day. Xx

Scenes like this are why this story doesn’t deserve the hate it receives. It succeeds in actually giving the Daleks character (a problem with new who Dalek stories is most of the time they have zero character apart from the shouting Nazi personality that we have seen a thousand times) I’ve only seen three episodes of modern who that gave the Daleks personality Daleks in Manhattan/Evolution of the Daleks Victory of the Daleks (for the Ironsides) Into the Dalek (kind of) Xc

You could argue Caan did forsee the new paradigm daleks, but that was the most preferable of the futures he saw. If Davros's current empire was allowed to survive, the whole of creation would've been erased by the reality bomb.

For most of the episode he was protected by Dalek Sec, at this point the Doctor had helped with their experiment and possibly fiddled with some things, so it's probably better to keep him around if something goes wrong.

The reason why the daleks betray sec is because after sec became 100% human and became 0% dalek when he merged with the human, he was changing, he became more heart, compassionate and become less evil towards humans, cause he wanted to lead a new race of daleks, Dalek thay Caan and jast hated the new path of evolution of daleks that Sec wanted to create, because Sec thrown away the dalek pride, the daleks no longer considers him a dalek and turned on him, daleks have no compassion, empathy, heart and they are evil

It’s not only that. Caab, Thay and Jast were disgusted by the pacifistic path that sec wished to lead the new race of daleks down. They were so blinded by their genetic 🧬 hubris pride that they could not see sec was correct, to them sec was an abomination and disgrace to the very name ‘Dalek’. Although these daleks had more imagination than standard daleks it was still none compared to Dalek sec. He is the only dalek in existence to see the flaws of the daleks, pleading with his comrades to evolve above their xenophobic ways, as it is what would ultimately lead to their destruction. Xx

Thay, Jast and Caan's coup against Dalek Sec was less because of his physical hybridisation and more because of how they thought his newfound humanity had compromised him and he'd strayed too far from the Dalek way. The other Dalek-humans were meant by the Cult to have 100% Dalek mindsets, but they didn't count on the Doctor adding his own DNA into the mix.

Sec merging with Diagoras led to him having human thought processes. The Cult of Skaro saw this as a perversion of the Dalek mindset as his thoughts weren't 100% Dalek. The others were engineered to completely have 100% Dalek thoughts.

Daleks only look that way due to being mutated by radiation, what they made was likely original Kaleds like Davros
