@@YogaProject-qz1cq This is the point I like to make. 99% of my experiences in Indoensia are incredible.. but we as visitors have to be able to understand, considering the history in Indonesia, there will be a few people that don't feel so welcoming. I think any country with the same history/circumstances would be the same.

I think the thing I admire most about Dale is his complete disregard for being judged and just not afraid to be a ‘tourist’ I get annoyed enough at foreigners staring at me when I go to these more ‘off the beaten track’ places, I certainly wouldn’t have the balls to walk around a market with a GoPro talking to myself. Toraja is relatively a safe place but since there are many outsiders came settling down in the area, it doesn't hurt to take little precaution of ensuring the safety of your belongings. Glad to see you were filming in Pasar Bolu as well as I could see around the town I've missed so badly. Hope it was overall a good experience for you staying there.

I am a Toraja person.. in Toraja there are very rare cases of theft.. so even if we park the motorbike all night.. the motorbike will not disappear.. this is what makes me proud to be a Toraja person

what i like most about this dude, is that he knows how to do the most with an opportunity, like starting to ask what that shop is ( where he ate the fish ) and milking that opportunity to make something heart warming; Ordering the fish, making people happy by buying drinks for everyone etc. People who want to do the youtube thing can learn a lot from this guy. It"s all about ceasing at start a very simple opportunity that life sends your way and creating a nice short story:) All about people relationships baby. Ok see ya later im at 20 min only hehe

Dale, not all coconut water is to drink, in Indonesia we tend to drink the Young Coconut (Kelapa Muda) that will be very good taste, but what you drink in this video is the coconut (old coconut) that usually used to grind the coconut flesh to produce coconut milk and they throw away the water inside. Thats why you dont see the green skin of coconut and the seller not provide any straw because its very rare people come to their stall to drink coconut water.

The pork cooked in bamboo is one of the best traditional cuisines in Toraja. It is called Pa'piong! They also cook sticky rice in bamboo. Very nice too! Glad you tried the local cuisines. Good job...well done, Dale!

5:50 she gets you young coconuts, actually she sells coconuts to use as seasoning 6:44 the motorbike is used for climbing because most of Toraja is a mountainous area. 10:30 The coconut shell is used to make charcoal 12:04 Menu name "ikan tollo' pamarrasan" It is a goldfish covered in Toraja spices "pamarrasan"

Enjoying these every week from bon Ecosse. Dale gets a good long explore in. These other vloggers don't have the legs for this business. Big strong legs are what you need. Ever find anyone studying the ancient martial art in Indonesia, it's called Pencak Silat? Seems very interesting and widely practised despite being prodominantly a military thing.
