Greetings from Turkey, I have been using Dali Spektor 2 for a week and I am very pleased. I am considering purchasing a Dali Spektor 1 with more suitable dimensions for my Desktop Computer in my office. Thanks for the review. Edit; My Dali Spektor 1 speaker arrived today. Naturally, I had the opportunity to compare it with Dali Spektor 2. Although Spektor 1 has a small cabinet and drivers, it sounds very good. Of course, it only comes close to the bass level of Spektor 2. But this doesn't make a huge difference. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a stylish looking speaker that takes up little space on the desk or bookshelf and provides high quality sound. In short, Spektor 1 will please a normal user. I paired Dali Spektor 1 with the Fosi Audio BT20A Class D amplifier on my computer in my office, and I use Dali Spektor 2 in my living room at home. I'm thinking of pairing it with a good amplifier in the future, what would you recommend?

Got these today. Agree with pretty much everything you said. Very refined silky highs. Slight bump in the upper mids that subjectively sounds like extra ‘texture’ on things like bass guitars and drum skins. Good tight bass. Over all, a very well balanced speaker that should work with almost any type of music. It’s almost as if DALI have tuned the speaker to be forgiving on sources without sacrificing on the clarity that hi-fi pedants expect. A very difficult balancing act that the company has somehow managed to pull off. I’m amazed they’ve managed to do this for such a low price. Even a few years ago, you’d have to pay at least double for a speaker of this calibre. We’re truly living in the golden age of quality, affordable hi-fi. The only thing think I miss with this particular speaker is a bit of weight in the lower mids. If I was to buy again, I’d probably go for a Zendor (sp?). But then those are almost double the price, so I’m still very happy with the Spektor.

Thank you for reviewing these! I've been diggin these for about 7-8 months now (I've dubbed them my quarantine speakers). At least once a day, I say to myself, these are only $350?! I've tried a lot of speakers in/around this price point, for me these are the one's to beat at this price point. I'm so impressed with these... I'm getting the Oberon 1's (Will still keep these Spektor 2's, I mean they're only $350 & they are great for everyday listening, streaming, etc., Why would I get rid of them?) I bought these yesterday, for my Denon D-M41. Did A/B testing with the existing Denon SC-M41 and see little improvements. The Denon's are so good too, but I am hearing sounds I haven't heard before with CD playback, i.e. Eric Clapton unplugged, will take a few days and see how I feel. So far I like it. I like bass, just enough so that my neighbour does not text me. We live in a townhouse, and I like to listen to music at night.

I have had those speakers for the last 4 months. Love the sound stage for the size of the speaker is good. The look is awesome and Yes they will need a sub in a bigger room as you described in your accurate review. To me, they don't worth the 500 asking price I bought them on sale. They can sound pretty loud but seems to struggle to handle the 25 Watts of my 46 year old receiver.

You should try the Kali audio in-8 especially the v2 2nd generation, getting a lot of Praise from the industry the V2 are $370 a pair...! can't go wrong active speakers with great boundary controls 3-way 4" coaxial driver definitely need to check them out mate and if you're looking for an active speaker you can't go wrong And the Dali use seas drivers that's why they are good!

I'm interested in having the dali rubicons as my left and right and having the cabinet designed front facing port DALI OPTICIAN as my Centre! Hey :) I got a question. If I could get the Dali Spektor for 220€ (250 dollar) and the wharfedale Diamond 12.2 for 309€ (350 dollar). Which ones should I choose (I do really like bass but I also want good sound overall)? Also, can you recommend a cheap (preferably not more than 100 dollar) amp that go with those speakers (preferably with a sub out)? And would I need anything apart from the speakers & amp in the beginning if I only want to play music via Bluetooth (so basically buy a DAC in a half a year and not immediately - the speakers are already a little out of my budget but all the cheap options you mentioned are not really available in my country)? Sorry for all the questions - I’m quite new to this 🙈

If you can get your hands on Dali 2 or Dali 2b, just buy them. They are old speakers (1980), but still to this day, they are a joy. Those speakers are the foundation Dali was build on.

Well, I’m make a different suggestion altogether. Instead of a new amp consider the orchard Audio pi DAC for $299. It’s pretty fantastic. Since you’re using Volumio already I think you’ll see a much greater improvement with that DAC than you will with a different amp . Food for thought

The Dali’s are a much more behaved speaker and most audiophile types would choose the Dali’s. However if you know you like the Klipsch sound the 500’s are good. Actually it’s the only Klipsch that I own now. They can be a bit much around 2k but they’d probably actually pair really well with the Cambridge

Selamlar spektor 1 aldım ben de ufak diye ama ciddi şok oldum. Sürücüler sanki çalmıyor havada belli noktalara atış yapıyor havada asılı kalıyor her nota bir de müthiş bir ses enstrüman ayrımı var açıkcası bilseydim spektor 2 ya da oberon 1 alırdım oberonla büyük bir fark var mı onu da bilmiyorum tabi.

Definitely pass on the Klipsch. They’re not remotely as good as either of the other two. If you like a bit more sparkle to with the Q’s you like a richer midrange to with the Dali’s

I would love to know this also. I can imagine the Dali's fill a room with more oomph and presence and soundstage. I heard him say in one review of the Emotiva B1+ vs some JBL's that he would prefer the Emotiva's for a desktop situation vs a bigger room situation. @@diegocanale1124 I've heard the Spektor 1 and ELAC B5.2. The Dali's have a very unique and musical sound. The ELAC's are perfectly neutral and not nearly as airy. For nearfield, the Dali's are definite winners but across the room I would suggest the ELAC's

@@brandonhall2656 never heard either of them. From my own experience I can tell you the Spektor 2 have good bass and can fill my bedroom with sound even at medium volume with no problem. Sound is pretty neutral with good detail, good bass and they are pretty airy. They are driven by a marantz mcr612 with 60w per channel @ 6 ohm.

Great. There are a lot of good speakers like this one on the market but until they are compared side by side to others there is really no point of reference so I probably won't buy it. I bought 2 pairs of the Elac Uni-Fi 52s each for less than this pair. Unless it beats the Elac there's no reason to consider buying it. The bar is so high right now the consumer wins, wins, wins especially when people return gear that's in perfect condition.
