Afton Audrey Landers lives near me. She gave me her parking space at a hospital parking lot about 10 yrs ago. She looked great and was a very nice person. Sometimes we forget actors are just every day people when they’re not working. She and the rest of her family volunteer with a children’s reading program. We are close to the same age. I am sure she’s thinking that Dallas is such a long time ago. I am sure Audrey probably lives a busy life, but I find it sad that so many have passed away. Hey, I guess that’s just life. Katherine Wentworth was a psycho!!

Audrey Landers is a really nice person. I’ll never forget when she gave me her parking space at a Dr’s office in Sarasota, Florida. She was great on Dallas. I always thought Cliff was a good looking guy. He was such a narcissist though. If I remember Afton finally had enough and left him. She got sick of eating Chinese food delivered every night. He really took her for granted. Not as bad as JR treated Sue Ellen.

Afton deserved better...she deserved SO much better. She picked up on Katherine Wentworth's devious intentions a full year before anyone else. If the viewing public ever needed a confirmation that Cliff Barnes was a total loser, it was when Afton walked out on him at the beginning of the 1984-1985 season. JR seemed to have a lust for life Cliff was a much more bitter and angry man apart from Chinese food he had no time or appetite for the good things in life he amazingly managed to bed a bevy of beautiful women , but even those were either JR's cast off's or women who took pity on him however he never allowed himself time to enjoy those experiences . The irony is he was an honest and civically minded man in the beginning who become more and more decrepit as each season of the show passed. If Cliff had taken the knocks JR dealt him in the first season and stayed in the political arena he would eventually have beaten JR however once he decided to fight JR in the oil business he became an eternal loser.

Cliff Barnes battle really wasn't with Bobby, , it was with JR. And yes, I would be pissed like she was if he embarrassed me right in front of somebody else. It just seems to me that Cliff should be BEGGING Bobby to use that drill bit. It would mean millions of dollars for both companies. It would help Bobby, and in turn it would help Bobby acquire Ewing oil, and JR would be out of the picture. Cliff Barnes really allowed his emotions to get in the way on this. He just couldn't see the forest for the trees. Never let a grudge stand in the way of a good business deal, especially when you can kill two birds with one stone, so to speak. You get to make millions of dollars, and you get rid of a hated enemy.

Totally weird but i never paid attention first time around at setpieces and decoration. Dallas and Falcon Crest spent very little budget on “nondescript/random fancy restaurant sets”. I am surprised at how cheap most of the restaurant scenes look…small tables and cheap chairs, yucky wall art, puny potted plants etc.

Correct - Cliff had absolutely nothing to do with that drill bit. After embezzling millions from Wentworth Tool and Dye, Cliff should have never been given any role in that company again, let alone 1/3 ownership. Katherine should have inherited that company and all of her father’s stock in Wentworth Industries. Instead, guilt ridden Rebecca leaves 2/3 of the Wentworth fortune to the two children she abandoned and never mentioned to her rich husband (who she wasn’t even legally married to as she never divorced Digger). Then to top it off, Cliff somehow gets “Oilman of the Year” at the Oil Barons Ball the following season based on the tundra torque - which he had not a thing to do with!
