Barbara Bell Geddes was an excellent actress and did an awesome job playing Miss Ellie!

I’ve been a fan of Dallas, since the very beginning. I’m happy to get these little clips. Dallas had an amazing cast. They didn’t put the older Actors, on the back shelf. They were very much, a part of the Show.

HOWARD Keel was great in this. He was suppose to be in a couple of episodes, but it worked into a character CLAYTON that was a great addition to the show!

Jacque McCoy No doubt! And he was his own man and not a complete Jock copycat. He treated Miss Ellie more as an equal.

Jacque McCoy I like HK, as Clayton as well, and I was a fan of his movies... Ms. Elle, I felt so sorry for her , she must have been in labor for hours with JR..😂😂😂😂

Barbara Bel Geddes was one of the lost likeable actresses I've ever seen. And very good too. Her smile radiated goodness.

Yes but by this time a nihilistic cloud had descended upon the Southfork ranch courtesy of the scriptwriters, which was beyond the talents of even Barbara Bel Geddes to redeem.

She was also very cute, in a Doris Day kind of way. They don't make'em like that anymore :(

It would have been funny if she said "It's like I'm in a soap opera!!!"

Wouldn't that be a bit too ironic and self-aware for 80s television?

Bobby felt the same way his mother felt in 1996 and in 2012, when he wanted to sell Southfork. At first his reason was because it was too much work and then he felt that it was the cause of the family's problems like she felt here. She was right to get a way with Clayton and live her own life but in my mind, she returned with Clayton during their final years between 1999, when Clayton died and 2001, when she died, according to the revival. I also believe Ray returned as well.

"I should just sell the ranch, period, and let everybody go on their way!" Well said, Miss Ellie. I think I'd be embarrassed to be one of the Ewing sons living with my wife and children under my mother's roof anyway.
@maryeverling82383 жыл бұрын
Back decades ago many large families lived under one roof! I’ve been married 29 yrs with two children n my Mother lived n continues to live with us! It’s a free country still yet, and what works for one family may not for another but who r u to pass judgment on how people live their lives?
@ddmck19723 жыл бұрын
@@maryeverling8238 It's just a TV show, and besides, I was talking about how I'd be embarrassed living this way as one of the Ewing sons under their mother's roof.

Actually I'd love the idea of being under one big roof in my family. Not as a rich boy squatter,Ike these fellas, but everyone chips in, helps out and maintains their own separate identity. Especially as your folks get older.
