@greggbarnette53168 жыл бұрын
It seemed like the show had a sorta of comedic undertone when Cally came along..Mandy was eye candy not but not as much depth as Sue Ellen.. I think the show was lacking without the backbone of Pam & Sue Ellen... their characters changed and evolved..JR and Bobby stayed the same.... copy and paste one season to the next season to the next season..and then the later seasons I have has referred to invasion of the blondes..Cally, April, Tracy McKay, Michelle (Stevens)..all very young blondes...were the producers trying to inject some youth into the cast for ratings sake?
@MMAfighter381138 жыл бұрын
Gregg Barnette the show definitely lost something when Victoria left
@greggbarnette53168 жыл бұрын
msmithstud Yes for sure and Sue Ellen as well..but the show was aging ..and not sure if you heard the interview VP did with the Ultimate Dallas website (think it was in the last year or so) where she wanted out of the show because it was basically repeating itself same format..it made sense to me...and Sue Ellen at least left on "top" so to speak.. Pam lying that she was marrying her plastic surgeon and hiding the fact that she was dying was so out of character for Pam.. I think they should have shown Pam's car empty on a deserted road ..car door open..purse left..and then later cut to a shot of Katherine with a evil grin on her face hanging up the phone saying something like "You will be rewarded for your services"...left the whole thing a mystery
@MMAfighter381138 жыл бұрын
Gregg Barnette it was so out of character for Pam to leave her family and her son especially just because of the accident. I know her "disappearance" was good drama, but it was out of character. I personally feel they should've cast Margaret Michaels as Pam & explained her facial difference with plastic surgery. Too many veteran cast members leaving by this point did hurt the show. Susan Howard was a great actress & her character served a purpose more than Jenna did. After Bobby& Pam remarried, Jenna served little purpose, & she and Ray had no chemistry at all. Their reason for leaving at the end of season 11 was bogus. If they wanted a fresh start away from the Ewing's, why not just move across town & not to Europe?
