Dallas: Ted Shackelford’s first scene as Gary Ewing

From Season 3 Episode 14: Return Engagement
Valene returns to her apartment where she sees that Gary is packing his suitcase and he tells her that he’s been offered a job in California. Gary tells Valene that he can’t stay in Texas and they should take things easy even though he hasn’t seen Lucy. Gary and Valene aren’t sure if they can make it together. Gary fears that Miss Ellie will drag him back to Southfork when Valene told him about the talk they had. Gary begs Valene not to pressure him and he leaves her again.
Note: Beginning with this scene, Ted Shackelford replaces David Ackroyd as Gary Ewing.

I liked Ted better ,he looked like he could be jock and miss ellie's son,he had good chemistry with everyone..and he brought the right amount of angst to the role.❤

- How many 🕰 had this couple broken up and reunited over the course of Dallas (both version) and its 'spinoff' show combined? - At least this actor portrayed his role without a British (ahem, ahem) or any other non-American accent, even though he does not resembled his brothers the way David Ackroyd (original actor to play Gary) had to Patrick Duffy and Larry Hagman.
