It's 2024 and this couldn't be more relevant. Thank you for continuing to distribute and provide the teachings of Dallas Willard.

This is one of the most beautiful services I have ever seen, and here on an iPad in my bedroom. God spoke to me and blessed me so richly through it. Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost! Amen.

Not long into the COVID pandemic, when we did not know much and I felt-for the first time-a collective, animal fear, God came to me in a way I had not experienced before. I was thinking of passages in the Bible where people did not fear, despite calamity and destruction. I believe I was thinking of Habakkuk 3:17 - 19: “Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior.” And I believe I was actively studying Psalm 46: “1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; 3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof” (Psalm 46:1-3) I asked God, how is this possible? How is it that humans can have this kind of outlook? There at my little table, the Holy Spirit came over me like a cloud. I always think, like a cloud-the way He went with the Israelites in the desert. I felt His presence as realer than real. More solid, more alive, more REAL than anything I had seen or touched. And in a way words cannot capture, He just put the knowledge into my heart, that we really are in His hands. He took ALL fear from me, of everything. And I am an anxious person by nature. For at least a couple of days after that meeting, it was impossible for me to worry or fear anything. I still feel that experience in my bones, on my skin, years later. Like when a person you love with all your heart kisses your cheek, and you can feel the kiss linger afterward. Eventually, I could worry and fear again-and praise God, He is working with me on a lasting healing for that affliction-but I have never been able to fear death again. I do not relish the thought of dying, but the fear of death itself He has wiped from my being. God is great, and mighty to save.

One of the most brilliant men I have heard. A very deep man. I’m catholic and we have our own outstanding and inspired thinkers and saints etc but Dallas Williard is still one of the best I’ve heard to speak of God. A beautiful man.

Dallas read and studied Catholic mystics. He was very open to the truth that all denominations have their truths. He took Richard Foster to see Agnes Sanford. How funny is it that Richard was amused about a Quaker and a Southern Baptist going to see an Episcopalian in a Lutheran Church? Have a blessed rest of your life and keep the focus on Christ, Yahweh and the Holy Spirit

Love Dallas Willard. Brings it all right down to the living person living in reality. Ministry already has more than enough theory.

I don’t feel safe. But I want to. Maybe with the help of Christ my mind can change.

It’s a state of mind. It’s embracing the truths Christ presented to us. The world is NOT a safe place but this is not our home. Believe me, at the moment of your passing, your spirit will be in the spiritual realm and you will never miss this life. I was sent back from the other side to be a witness to His truth with more evidence. Shalom

I am praying for you, Dan. God has just, in the last couple days, made a huge transformation toward this in my life. I feel like something is very new. God has been walking with me for much of my life, and I find salvation is deeper and deeper the longer you are on the path. “Further up and further in,” as CS Lewis depicted Heaven in “The Last Battle.” I am by nature an extremely anxious person, and God allowed me to experience such stress in this past week that I HAD to give everything and everyone to Him. I know I will stumble and feel anxious again, but I think He is teaching me to live truly without anxiety. He knows we cannot just will that. But I want you to know I see it is possible now. I see more than ever how dangerous the world, yet I DO sense Him holding me so gently and firmly that I will not be harmed, even if I am badly hurt in this life. I see now we can live free. “Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.” - 1 Peter 5:7.

@@elusivemayfly7534 attitude of gratitude. Secular scientists have proven anxiety and gratitude cannot exist in the mind at the same time. Count your blessings and ALWAYS ask Him for what you need. Especially strength and wisdom

Dallas Willard speaks of our energy empowered with our desires, and divine purpose. Our nature is revealed when we in alignment with God. Like a stream, we are the keeper to direct a life of vision and heart.

This is so orthodox! “There are three powers in the soul-the thinking, the excitable (the energetic), and the desiring. By the thinking power we seek to understand what is good; by the desiring power we desire the good we have understood; by the excitable power we strive and fight for it.” Maximus the Confessor
