I like how they forgot about the history of Romania after everyone's introductions, predictable. Transylvania did used to be a part of Hungary, along with Slovakia, parts of Serbia and Croatia and more. Hungary is like Lithuania in that it is somewhat small now but used to be huge. Also, Transylvania may be Romanian now but it still has a lot of Hungarians in a part of it called szekely land. Daltos was right at the start, he was just stopped before he could enlighten us.

Transylvania was part of Romania before Hungary conquered it. Then it was returned at the end of WW1. Also, the amount of Hungarians in Transylvania is about 17% of the population while Romanians make up 76% of it

I thought the actual country was only united relatively recently in history, and going back to the Romans it had either been controlled by foreign powers or divided between smaller Romanian duchies. I'm sorry if it seemed like I was saying that Transylvania as a whole is Hungarian. I thought I was clear that just one part of Transylvania is Hungarian and not all of it.

@Rythian I tend to start my games on Classic instead of Ancient. Feels like a more stable start, and can actually keep up with the AI civ's on the harder difficulties, which they basically have cheats.

I'm excited for this. I've been playing Civ6 for the past 4 years and had skipped Civ5 entirely. Recently I've been trying to give Civ5 a go because I've heard good things about it... but after an hour I just wanna go back to Civ6, I'm too used to it at this point. When I play 5 I feel like this is almost the same game but with fewer features and certain technologies mixed around. Maybe you guys will change my opinion :)

Daltos’ advice in and of itself is usually good/correct (most of the time). His issue is that he’s simply parroting what others have instructed him to do, rather than share strategies based on any true understanding of the game theory that spawns these meta strategies. he doesn’t actually understand why the advice is correct, which is why by halfway through these Lekmod series of late you’ll always find him whine about not winning or having a strong game despite knowing the optimal strats & openings. He means well but he lacks the comprehension to use what he’s been taught to craft & adjust his strategy as the game changes/progresses. Thus, his civ falls apart by late game & he has no relevant win condition other than toady up - every time

@@Daltos I do appreciate you brǒther, and I think you’ve gotten exceptionally better @ civ compared to when you started with Armchair admirals. I’m just saying you have more to master before you can match a player like Lewis, who may not play as much as you now & know all the Lek strats (i.e. recognizing a liberty start vs a tradition one), but he possesses a fundamental understanding of how to properly scale in this game that usually carries him to being a top player in most of these video series. I think the reason viewers whine about your whining is because your execution doesn’t match your knowledge level, and you gassing yourself up & assertively offering advice to the others may come across as arrogant (which I don’t believe is the case, for what it’s worth)

Whenever I load a map, it never has any of the fancy resources from lekmod so I never get to use any abilities related to them. I assume this is a map issue, what is the normal map you pick for a lekmod game?
