I love it, that idea kind of reminds me of those crabs that just stick random stuff to their backs for protection like jellyfish & sea anemones and whatnot. Beautiful model, very nicely painted, and of course based as hell.

one of the things that i really enjoyed about gaunt's ghosts was that there was death of named characters, and then refreshment of characters as well as the more accurate military setting, rather than a lot of space marine novels seem to ignore ammunition, and as tom says, brother whatever into brother peenitus's armour clashes isn't compelling to me

I laughed so hard when Ben said he found it hard to recommend any Warhammer novels; proceeded to call Gaunt's Ghosts worthless, then right away settling on the fkn first couple of Horus Heresy books as a recommendation. It was so ridiculous and dryly timed that it would've been a great joke and definite troll comment if I wasn't aware of Ben's horrid taste in books that he can't actually read (just like 95% of names in text form), and visual media (films and series)

He didn't call Guant's Ghosts worthless, he called it worse Sharpe which is it. And he suggested that HH books are designed for people getting into Warhammer, which they are. I don't know if Ben has a bad taste in books, but he's certainly right that most GW books are crapm
