Hello Pravus. Water leaves the map at the border so the water level in the new lake won't rise higher than that. Water also evaporate so you don't lose water only with the pumps. It's slow but water a single block deep won't last the hardest droughts lasting 20-30 days. You can place dynamite underwater no problem and detonate it, no need to wait for the river bed to dry, very useful to deepen your water reservoirs. My last piece of advice and perhaps the most critical: be careful with the distribution point,if you don't establish a minimum to leave in the origin district, the beavers will keep hauling resources to the other districts to the point you can leave your main district with no food or water.

Holy Heck! That is a long time for droughts.
@MiniMackeroni2 жыл бұрын
I'm guessing water evaporates in this game depending on its surface area, meaning deeper is better than wider.
@Marcelo-Vega2 жыл бұрын
@@MiniMackeroni All surface water evaporates at the same rate. A 10x10x1 lake will dry in the same time as a 1x1x1 lake and a 1x1x2 will last twice as long. Water doesn't evaporate if it doesn't touch the air/sky.

Hey Pravus, So i actually recently picked up this game, explored it a bit, and actually saw a few things which I don't think you've seen for your faction, for one there is no Water map mode, because there's a building in the water section, the Stream Gauge, which measures the flow and depth. For power, there is a way you can get a guaranteed 50 HP, the Beaver Wheel in power, So you could move your industry away from the fertile land, although it would require beavers to be used in it. Lastly, there's the Irrigation tower, which essentially just Irrigates a large circle of land around it, for constant deliveries of water, I suggest that if you do it, get a hauling post just dedicated towards keeping water in it.
@lucasn40772 жыл бұрын
@Pravus if you haven’t already, build a haulers post and it will up the efficiency of pretty much everything and gear workshops are just generally really slow (like 1.5 gears per day)

I started a second district and had turned off my gatherers in district 1, came back and had no beavers left in D1 they all died of hunger, lucky I had 6 beavers at D2 and I sent them back to try repopulate D1 and it took 4 hours real time to get back to a work force in a a blink of an eye I went from 6 workers to 84, I flood gated the area you want to do and it wiped out my D3 setup
