Most 91 year olds have led lives of hard work and no money to look good or take care of themselves. When people don’t work hard jobs (acting is not what I call a normal hard job, they work for a few months then don’t work for years or months after and get paid a fortune to do it) they can look and sound great well into their 90s!!!!!!! Stress, money, illness all take a toll on people’s looks and metal health. We need to stop worshipping how “great” celebrities look when they’re old. Their lifestyles aren’t the same as ordinary folks. We could ALL look this great with all that help!

Joan is the most "with it" woman at 91 years that I have ever seen. She is as sharp as a tack. I have admired and respected her for decades. She has mentioned before that her father was an agent and does mention in this very interview 6.16 her father was an agent. He might of got her into Hollywood but she still had to audition and never really became a big star.

She has talked about it before, but it doesn't matter her father was an agent, it had no clout as Joan wasn't going to compromise her principles in order to get parts in movies and never became an international movie star in that sense. However, she is a global superstar and an international icon and I, like millions of others, adore her.

My favorite Joan Collins story is about when Joseph L Mankiewicz was casting the film Cleopatra. It had come down to either Joan Collins or Elizabeth Taylor for the main role, and both actresses had done a 20 minute screen test for the role. Joan tells the story and says, “I wouldn’t sleep with Mankiewicz and didn’t get the role, now I’m not saying Elizabeth Taylor did, but she got the role and I didn’t” Classy, classy, lady.
