At face value, it's a "bad" shot because there's no extra value (generally speaking) from shooting it from that far out. It's kind of like why nobody in the NBA shoots 20-foot jumpers anymore. But the advantage was that PG13 (and most of the people watching the game, really) weren't ready for it, negating George's defense.

I'm a fan, but interesting to see Dame feeling so under-appreciated towards the end. He says he's been doing it for 13 years and winning while doing it. I would disagree with the winning part. Making the playoffs at his caliber isnt good enough. If he wants Steph's level of praise, he needs to get some rings. I like him more than Steph as I find him to be a more complete player at their sizes, 1v1, but he hasn't proven himself the be the leader. Even if he's never had the same pieces around him Steph has, he needs more on resume, unfortunately.
