I never thought much of Damien Rice up until a few months ago. I'd heard a couple of his songs in passing over the last decade or so. But I heard I Don't Want To Change You on the radio and it kind of went from there. But this single performance cemented my undying love for him. He's looks so small and fragile then he sings and it has such naked and honest dignity about it.

I started listening to Damien in 2002 when “O” was released my sister had a copy a friend had given her she didn’t like it and I took it .... I was 14 and I haven’t stopped since the lyrics ... the emotion. It’s not just music it’s a movie/play/song/ I don’t even know what he is something to behold live. I’m thankful for taking that cd

very true, and to add something more to that the reason that attracts me to damien so much, more than his voice, and his humble looks...but is of the way that he's so open to himself i envy the way damien always tries to stay true to himself and how he can come to term with himself in everything he does...he's not afraid to open his chest nor embarrased to talk about his body (;D)..thus, this translates well into his music and really make us think really hard about ourselves
