Okay, went out winging today and on first swell flagged the wing and focused on just Hop! First time went from center of the bay to almost the beach. Mahalo Great tip!!!

The push-hop demo a minute in did it for me. I'm ready for summer. Thanks.

Great vid and explanation. I’m still trying to work on more hop and less push. They’re quite a few good vids on this concept. As a suggestion for a future technique vid, how about some commentary on fuse length, stab size etc. thanks so much. Frustrated wake thief😂

Thanks for the video. I always try to hop but my legs feel like they're in quicksand and i slowly start to sink :/

What percentage of your weight are you hopping off of your foot over the mast v. the foot toward the nose? Is it 50/50? 70/30? Thanks :)

I find it so frustrating. Been trying for three years, still can't get more than 3 pumps before I stall and fall in. I just cannot get the rhythm. Watch the videos, ask friends, practice, no progress. I paddle back out each time.
@DamienLeroyYouTube2 күн бұрын
Start learning pumping with some speed and some power, like a wing, towing behind a boat, etc… you need more time feeling it. If you rely 100% on your pumping and you always fall right away, you are not getting much time feeling it and can’t learn it

same, for me i feel like im doing a counter rhythm

To me the game changer was getting a used foil drive assist +. Yes it was a $1500 investment but it means in one session you get 99% of your time practicing pumping. Not paddling back to the dock, waiting for boat, etc. My progression in 2 months has been well worth the investment.

Yes anything that can give you more time practicing is key, glad the foil drive is working for you!

@@DamienLeroyKZbin thank you. I will find a wing to assist.
