Matt is torn between Stefan's way and Damon's way. He acts like Damon when he drugs Elena to get her out of the house. Then he acts like Stefan when he gives her the choice to keep driving or turn around and go back. What Matt wants to do is take her out of town because he's smart like Damon, but he knows it has to be her choice. That's why she dies. Everything in 3x22 and 4x1 had to be her choice. That includes feeding because she's sired to Damon the moment she does. In that sire bond, they start learning how to meet in the middle. After a while, you start seeing Damon and Elena make choices together as a couple. Stefan would simply agree with her choices regardless of his.

Stefan had no obligation to say anything because Damon was forward and did what Stefan was capable of doing himself and Damon did it to save his brother from the guilt he would be raked with to hold it over Stefan he did it because he loves his brother

I made my statement and MY opinion because stefan could have let elena know that damon did it for him so she wouldn't just automatically think bad damon doing what he does. Everyone had another strike against damon . When he actually did something selfless to help his brother. So I dont care If you don't agree with me because its my opinion.
