Mauerpark on a sunday = INSAAANE ! Huge flea market, awesome street artists, a guy with a mobile karaoke machine and at least 1000 spectators. But yeah when you're in Berlin : rent a bike for a couple of days. Best way everrr to see the city. Start in Prenzlauer Berg(so beautiful and great places to eat/drink/hang out, feels kinda like Paris) and then go clockwise : Neuköln, Wilmersdorf, Charlottaburg, Mitte. Berlin is my number 1 city in Europe. Went here 3 times already and can't wait to go back. You can drink here 24/24 7/7 on the street, how cool is that ? Also Damon and Jo, love your channel. It's funny, easy to watch and very interessting. I actually learn something by watching these videos.

I'm from berlin and I can confirm that a lot of these stereotypey "cool kid" clischee items are actually still hot shit. People still drink club mate or some dupe drinks, photobooths are also still a thing, especially - when you're out with way to many people to fit into the cabins. Mauerpark is very worth seeing on sundays, when there is the fleemarket and karaoke stage and I though about what you said that "berlin is all about the abadoned places": I can only advise everyone who comes to see berlin in summer , to check out the "spreepark", sadly it's closed for free wandering but you can take a railroad tour through it.

Two of my fave vloggers in one of my fave cities in the world - loved this video! Hope there are more to come from beautiful Germany. For me, Kreuzberg is the epitome of cool. Honestly speaking though (I know this isn't cool to admit), I adored the "touristy stuff" too (with the exception of Checkpoint Charlie, which I felt was a tourist trap). So many good museums, from the ancient reconstructions in the Pergammon Museum, to the Topography of Terror which is both amazing and poignant - and free!

Mauerpark! On Sundays it's so different- a gigantic flea market with all kinds of food and clothes and bikes and anything you could imagine seems to materialize out of nowhere. Tons of musicians and artists performing, including this big, public karaoke event that's been run by one guy for the past 15 years. Anyone can go up and sing, and hundreds of people watch! The neighborhood around it is fantastic too :)

cool that you came to Berlin (my home-town).... I used to work as a flight attendant on this aiport in the 80ies... (when I was your age ;-)).... Club Mate has been in fashion for a couple of years only. When I first ordered it, I called it Club Mate (pronounced like the english "mate")... and I was informed that this is one of the rare stuff that has to be pronounced the german way (like you did), because Mate-Tea is the base of it...
