This song always reminds me of "One of these nights" by Eagles. Such a nice song!

Don't you see bad Dan ready to come out at the end of the instrumental part ? Can't wait to see him and Pat back for a new Black Keys album 😍

Funny in 2024 revisiting this song my thought is more of a "I really hope the Black Keys take a hiatus again so Dan can do more solo stuff again." 😂 Really though IMHO "Waiting on a Song" was a much stronger album than "Let's Rock", "Dropout Boogie" or "Ohio Players" are ("Delta Kream" stands seperate in my mind though, that disc is a gem). Like I don't care if Dan makes a solo album again and Pat is still on most of the songs drumming (or even in the booth producing), I just kind of feel like both their music would be reinvigorated by taking a step away from The Black Keys brand, even if just for a single album. They've collaborated before without using The Black Key's name (Robert Finley's "Black Bayou" for example has Dan & Pat all over it), but I think they are in dire need of discovering their own musical voice again much like "Waiting on a Song" was when Dan first released it.

Anyone know how the guy who’s playing the black strat is? Looks very familiar but I don’t know why

yes! I was thinking the same thing, that is Nick Bockrath, guitarist from the band Cage the Elephant
