the best album. since 2010....i wish the keys did an album like brothers these days....just Dan and Pat, no fancy recording and mixing, just pure raw black keys blues....this album is a life changer if u didn't listen to it yet

I’ve seen them a few times now and I’m sad to say I won’t see them again unless it’s just Dan and Patrick. I wanted a delta Kream tour but instead we get six randoms on stage, playing the hits and going home. Last show I saw was the “Let’s Rock” tour and Dan said maybe 5 words to the crowd, then played for barely over an hour

Would REALLY love to know how they did the vocals on this song. Their slight distortion effect in the vocal chain is always very tastefully done yet still clear. I've read articles that 'claim" they know their trick, but I was hoping they discussed it here 🤷🤔
@mickey4125Ай бұрын
I think they almost did, just not very clearly. When they talking about "doing overdubs just with a big speaker, a microphone in front and building the track from there" It sounds like they just jammed it out, then played it back to themselves and jammed over that, possibly multiple times. Each recording catches some of the old one too so it built up into the vocal distortion you mention. I think this is one of the reasons the album feels so HEAVY, y'know?
