I recently became aware of Dan Vasc by chance. I like the melody of Amazing Grace and enjoy listening to different versions. But with Dan I was speechless, just WOW. I really need to watch more. He makes this traditional song a breathtaking experience. Great reaction!

It's usually because it will get claimed by copyright and reactors don't want to handle the fight it takes to remove the copyright claims. I understand why they do it for sure but I also prefer the bigger screen. They're the ones on snow here not me. I am just there to give commentary 😊. It's why you see a lot of people mirror and blur their videos a little too. I try not to if I can get out of it but sometimes KZbin will block the videos entirely so if you ever see anything mirrored on my channel that's probably why 😊

Dan has no copyright restrictions. No need to pause his covers.

The issue isn't with Dan it's with KZbin picking up what the original song is and then the original copyright holders claiming it. Then it becomes a whole issue of disputing it which can take you to a month. It's just easier to do it this way trust me.

1:19 😂 "Dan's a freak"... definitely true, but made me laugh. Amazing Grace was my intro to Dan Vasc, and it's been a joyful journey into that rabbit hole ever since. The one thing you can expect from him is to expect the unexpected because he's full of surprises. His "Amazing Grace" is now my favorite version of that age-old hymn. I always loved the bagpipes used in some versions, but had never heard anyone substitute a harmonica in place of them in that interlude, and I prefer it now. The whole darned thing still gives me goosebumps. You're not the first & won't be the last to exclaim "Damn Dan!" as I'm pretty sure we've all had that response at some point with Dan's singing. Thoroughly enjoyed your reaction. 😊 Definitely can't wait until you chk out his Nessun Dorma, Phantom of the Opera covers, etc. Also, there's good reason why Dan's metal version of Mulan's "I'll Make a Man Out of You" came in a close 2nd on the poll.😉

This song was my first introduction to Dan back in June of 2023. The thumbnail kept popping up in my feed and I ignored it for about two months. I kept thinking, "I don't want to hear a metal singer ruin Amazing Grace." (And I like metal - just didn't think it was appropriate for this song.) So I finally clicked on it just to get it out of my feed - and I was immediately hooked. I gladly went down the Dan Vasc rabbit hole and became a proud member of Vasc Nation. I always enjoy a reaction to this video. Loved it! Speaking of his father…his dad was a huge Elvis Presley fan. Just days (like 4 or 5 maybe) after he passed away, Dan recorded a beautiful cover of “An American Trilogy” as a tribute to his dad. Please check it out sometime. It’s very beautiful. ❤

I believe that Dan's music is copyright free, but I'm not sure if that would be recognised by the live feed algorithms. Many reactors who are having copyright issues will record a couple of Dan songs while waiting for their other uploads to be released from KZbin jail.

I probably won't do that sorry. I interrupt to explain techniques as they are happening and being ADHD there's no way I would remember at the end. Also playing too much of the song all together leaves the channel open to copyright strikes for using copyrighted material. I am aware Dan doesn't claim his content but the original copyright owners tend to do it and then it risks further issues. I apologize that you don't like it but I'm probably not going to change it 😊
