Hello. This song was my first introduction to Dan last year and I was immediately hooked. I just love seeing other people have exactly the same reaction I had to him the first time! Dan can (and does) sing everything from opera to heavy metal, though his preferred genre is symphonic metal. Head down the Dan Vasc rabbit hole. You won't be disappointed! He could sing the phone book and it would still be phenomenal. And yes, he's had years of both classical and contemporary vocal training. By the way, Dan doesn't copyright any of his videos, so you don't need the filter.

Hello guys, finally a great reaction to Dan from Germany!!! Thanks for that. 😊👍He is a truly exceptional artist with over 1 million subscribers! He has sung over 240 covers so far and can really sing anything: metal, rock, pop, folk, musical... and yes, opera (Nessun Dorma!). He is also classically trained, but not only has talent, but he has also worked hard for it. His covers were created in his garage, he usually does the technology, the mix etc. himself. There are wonderful pieces with fantastic guest singers (Violet Orlandi) or guitarists (including Victor the Guitar Nerd!!!). 71 year old Grandma of 2 here❤️⚘️ Dan Vasc has around 250 covers. Yes he had had Opera training. 2:34 "Nessum Dorma", "The music of the night" many genres . A young Dan singing "Dream On" He also dedicated the "Elvis Trilogy " To his Father who passed 6-7 years ago of cancer. He shares a picture of his Father and him at the end. The harmonica he plays in "Amazing Grace" his father gifed him when he was 7. Dan is a very humble man. He has in his covers documented his growth starting around 2009. He dedicates and shares his suicide prevention in his channel he sings" Don't Give Up, You Are Loved", shares a heart felt comment on a cover Chester did. Usually he will share some comments right after he does a cover . His Metal Version of "America's National Anthem ". Is incredible !!! However you must !! watch his "Apology video" "Right" after !! One of the best reactions to Dan I've heard. Thanks. Dan has 245 videos to dive into. Right now, the one with the most views is Toss a Coin To Your Witcher which is incredible, but so are all of his covers. American Triology (a tribute to his father who passed away 9 days prior to his recording it), Kiss From A Rose, Gethsemane, Burn Butcher Burn, Nessun Dorma, Phantom of the Opera, and the list goes on. It's a rabbit hole you won't regret going down. He just hit a million subs for a reason. He also mixes and produces almost all of his videos with little or no help. Thanks for trying Dan’s beautiful version of this beloved hymn. The harmonica, by the way, is standing in for the bagpipes that are traditional, especially when this song is performed at funerals. Dan has a gorgeous voice, incredible breath control, fabulous range, and deep and sensitive expressiveness. You can see that he has extensive training in both classical and metal singing, and he can and does sing opera - as well as folk songs, ballads, musical theater, Christmas songs, Disney music, 80s covers - basically anything that appeals to him. His real love is metal and hard rock, but he can truly sing almost anything. Please have a look at The Music of the Night for a straight Broadway-level performance. Burn Butcher Burn is one of his brilliant metalizations of Witcher songs. His latest is a metal cover of Celine Dion’s My Heart Will Go On - you have to hear it to believe it. He also does Angels heard on high in Italian, then German, then Portuguese, with a choir of 65 layers of his own voice, and finally in English. The chorus is done in Latin.

I, too, was skeptical when a YT suggestion video popped up about a metal singer performing Amazing Grace. But I am so glad I decided to give it a try. The absolute best version of this classic hymn that I have ever heard. Since then I have watched all of his over 200 music videos and found so many gems. Most of them have been listed by others below but I would like to add Angels We Have Heard On High (sung in Italian, German, Portuguese, his language, and English. It's a stunning performance. Dan had 10 years of musical training. He does a metal version of Disney's 'I'll Make a Man Out of You ' from Mulan. Witcher covers are good. His latest Celine Dion's 'My Heart Will Go On'. Opera 'Nessun Dorma', 'Time to Say Goodbye' with Rehn Stillnight. Non metal 'The Last Goodbye ' from the Hobbit or either of Dan's Elvis covers. 'Loch Lomond ' shows he can sing folk music. Dan is a phenominal singer/performer!❤❤ Yes, there's metal and there's metal but your mood won't determine WHEN you listen to him. He likes to metalize a lot of songs but in the past he sang a lot of straight up songs. He has a fabulous 80's playlist. I see others have given you suggestions of songs so I'll suggest "My Heart Will Go On" from the Titanic, taking it from a slow song to a powerful, fast anthem - exceptional. I haven't scanned down through the rest of the comments, yet (because I already know there will probably be several hundred of them, because...Dan...). I've watched plenty of your videos in the past (as Grandma's Gone Gaming, I think) and I know how well you two know music, and the quality of your reactions. You certainly did not disappoint me. 😀 You caught a LOT of the things that others don't catch. Plus, at the end, you mentioned Dan's obvious training. Yes...he HAS been classically/operatically trained. He has also TAUGHT the same. His main love, however, is metal (for more than one reason...the more you react to, from his channel, the more you will see why that's the case...it's not JUST the sounds). As for this one, there are a few things that you didn't notice, that ALSO come into the picture due to his training, AND to his innate abilities, and his own heart. I've written a "book" about this, but I'll cut it down to some "points," that I think you'll recognize as you read through them. 1) Always watch Dan's eyes (now that you've seen THIS one). Dan tells stories with his eyes. In this one, it's very important, because, at first he "sees" with his eyes open. The further he goes, the less his "shifty" eyes open, and the more they are quietly closed, until he is only "seeing through his spirit," not in a physical sense. That is what the song is ABOUT, and Dan "went there" on purpose. He is familiar with this song for a reason. 😀 2) Notice how (in this one, but also in many others you'll find soon, I'm sure) he builds slowly up from "having a nice low tenor/high baritone voice, for sure," to, "How in the world did he hit that note?!" Then, of course, he jumps SO easily back downward to the lower range, and then holds that last phrase about 23 seconds (believe me, he has held notes longer), before the very quiet, perfect ending (as his eyes remain closed). You saw so much more, that that's all I need to say, I think. Others have missed a TON of other stuff, but you guys are ALWAYS so good with the musical things, themselves, and making those things clear to others, who might not be. THANK YOU for your wonderful reaction! 🥰😍🤩

Hi guys, 5 months ago I recommended Dan to you but maybe due to the long list you didn't get to know him, but it's never too late and today you've seen how wonderful our king of vocals is. Dan is a Brazilian singer with classical and contemporary training, he plays guitar, piano and harmonica, he is also a composer, where he has his band Fearless with his younger brother and 2 childhood friends, with 1 original album by Dan. He makes his own videos, from backing vocals to the choir, sometimes collaborating with singers from all over the world. Dan can sing any genre from opera to heavy power metal because his voice is so versatile. Tks

Hello guys. Yes, Dan is Brazilian and is from the same state as Gabriel Henrique. Dan has a powerful and wonderful voice. He sings any style of music, even opera like Nessun Dorma, as he is also classically trained. His covers are better than the original ✨️👏🏻. This was the best version of this beautiful hymn. It's difficult to recommend just one song, because all of them on your channel are incredible. But you could react to Burn Butcher Burn, where he shows all his vocal techniques. Dan is so totally awesome. The man sing so many different genres and makes each his own. Everything from Opera, to musicals like phantom of the Opera music of the night ...or Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar... metal from the 80s which are absolutely fantastic... he's working on a man of wars album right now ...I love his loch Lomond, it was filmed outside but it was absolutely gorgeous.
