I'm tickled Dan Fogelberg was half Scottish ! His Grandmother and Mother all from the Highlands of Scotland ! He must have been spoiled growing up . What a gifted talented human being the music industry lost in this humble man . Thank you for your immortal music . From Scotland........

I say Dan Folgelberg in 97 at the Paolo Soleri Amphitheater in Santa Fe NM. Amazing show such a perfect place now permanently close by the Indian school directors. Saw B.B. King there in 89 and YES in 2001. Wish they would re open it.

pre10der, I'm so glad you've posted this. I loved it the first time I saw it - especially his story about his grandmother- so endearing and funny! I think this is the most I've heard Dan interacting with the audience - it's brilliant - a wicked sense of humour -followed by the most exquisite guitar playing. Dan at his very best in every respect. (He could've bought me a pizza ANY time!) Love him and miss him.

I wish I could make out what he was saying about his grandmother. My audio is terrible, I can't make out the words. Can anyone post what he is saying?

Going to visit her the next day, she's 103 years old. He talks about how you never know when old people are messing with you. He says he called her on the phone and asked about her Christmas dinner, she said she had a great Christmas dinner. He said yeah, what did you have? Grandma says "I don't know, I'll have to ask." A little while later the same conversation repeats itself. He ends by saying "I can't *wait* to be like that." Which is sort of sadly ironic, I guess.

I don't know what is going on with this song but his fingers are not moving properly to the song when he is playing. I play guitar and something is fishy about this

After your comment I looked at this video again. His fingering looks spot on to me. (?) I wonder if there could have been some You Tube drag going on when you were watching/listening? The audio is certainly totally awful, that is true. I could not decipher it at all. I wonder if the two issues are somehow connected. Not one thing "fishy" about Dan Fogelberg, that we know....
