Oh! I was always in churches that taught that you need to fast and pray for certain people who need healing. So I always wanted to leave this to the group that fasted and prayed. But one day, we just found a stray man near our building who had every single symptom mentioned in the scriptures about this boy whom the disciples didn't end up healing. Here I stood identifying every single thing that this man was going through with regard to the scriptures. Now, I wanted to leave the place quickly, but then I whispered extremely silently to my husband that this guy was demon possessed... and the deaf and dumb guy heard it and looked at us. This guy was bent over, drooling, deaf and dumb, with hands curved inwards, not in his right mind, he had smashed some windshields and had cut his arm badly, twas bleeding and swollen... yet he heard what I told my hubby. And when I caught him looking at me, all I wanted to do was hurry off to my house with the kids. However, the Holy Spirit took over and I find myself blurting out the words, only Jesus can set you free. Almost Immediately, the guy came running towards us and knelt right in front of me. So, we had to pray and we did... The power of the Lord Jesus put us in a position wherein we couldn't run away from. I mean, our hands were frozen to his head and we just prayed in tongues being clueless for words. The drooling stopped, he straightened up, his hands straightened out, the swelling and bleeding stopped, he stayed on his knees till we finished... and even said Amen. This guy is from a faith which doesn't do anything that believers in Jesus do. When we finished praying, we led him to the Lord, he could talk and heard us perfectly, we called his wife and everything. The lesson I learnt from this is, to stop limiting God! And if we keep pulling back, He will put us in situations that make us do what a believer needs to do :D. He knows His sheep doesn't He. Now, we don't care where we are or who we come across; we just pray and set them free in Jesus name. Phew! What a relief that the Lord doesn't let us down

This is so incredible. One part that I was blessed through was about how God showed Dan to break a fast he was doing because he had lost sight of the why behind it by trying to fast for a certain amount of days/time. I got the book and yes it seems very legalistic, the way it reads is all works, and performance, and it’s kind of a hard read, writing in society has changed a lot. It’s a small book but it’s going to take time to get through it - hard to read, I’ll keep you posted

Dan is so lovely! He exudes Jesus and he encourages me to know Him more and become more like Him! I totally understand in this instance in the Bible where it's up to the disciples to have faith to heal. We also have been given the great commission, that Jesus has given us the responsibility to heal the sick, but I would love to hear what Dan has to say about the MANY times Jesus said throughout his ministry things like "let it be done according to YOUR faith" or "because YOU have believed" Jesus was talking to the person being healed or to the one who was standing in faith for the person to be healed as in the case of the Phoenician woman wanting her daughter to be set free from demons or the Roman centurion standing in faith for his servant. But there were times it was directly to the person like in Matthew 9:22 talking to the woman who was bleeding for 12 years He said "Daughter be encouraged! YOUR faith has made you well". Also just a few verses down in verse 29 He told the two blind men "Because of YOUR faith it will happen". Those are just a couple examples...Jesus said it frequently! So sometimes I do think it is linked to our own faith to receive. I'd love to hear Dan teach on that, because at the beginning of this teaching he makes it sound like that's not the case, ever, which we can see through Jesus, it obviously sometimes is. ❤ Love Dan's teachings though. This is the only time I've heard him preach and I have been left with questions and I've listened to many of his teachings. Keep it up Dan!! ❤

I love brother Dan, but he pretty much got it wrong about the passage in Matt 17:21 about "this kind only comes out by prayer and fasting. If you check the parallel passage in Mark 9:14-29, there is not the ambiguity that Dan is relying on. In Mark, it is clear that Jesus is talking about the demon, not the disciples "kind" of faith.... But again, I still do love brother Dan!!

MazePage that would mean that we could not cast out demons with out fasting, and some would have to suffer because we didn't fast enough because only some demons come out by fasting, no, we have authority as soon as we are saved because we are seated fat above all rule and principalities. Dan is correct Jesus was talking about riding our from under belief. Food is s s basic need and our stomaches rule with hunger yet we can tell it to submitt b fasting. There are even people today who are not eating believing their life comes from Christ alone not food

Theresa Roberts, read the passage in Mark for yourself. It's very straight forward. Only certain kinds of demons would require fasting and praying... Jesus was all fasted and prayer'd up, why wouldn't we need to do the same? Dan's an awesome pastor and teacher, but he's not right about EVERYTHING. xP I was brought up under John Wimber and have followed Rick Joyner's teachings for decades, but even they aren't right about everything. I believe the unbelief He is talking about is the unbelief in us. The reason fasting helps with that is because fasting causes us to humble ourselves and our off the flesh. It causes us to draw closer to God.

I wish he would define what faith and belief mean. Few understand that it has to do with trust and commitment - truly making Jesus our Lord. When we are about living for God instead of ourselves then God can use us. Even Jesus had to treat His Father as Lord in order to do what He did. John 5:19

I fasted for 5 days before I was saved. I noticed supernatural activity inside and outside of my body. I wanted to drink by day 5 but I couldnt. I ended up in the hospital because I couldnt get myself to drink. After adequate fluids were given and I was put back on my medications. I was fine. Be careful when you are fasting especially the first few times. It might be a good idea to let someone close to you know that you are fasting so they can tell you if you are going too far. Even though I wasn't doing it for any personal reason, It just happened to me when I stopped my Psychiatric medications. The demons got more power and were able to overtake the use of my hands to not allow me to do what I want at the same time convincing me that this was what I wanted and that I was getting healthy from doing it. If my husband was not concerned enough to call the EMT two times, I may have died that night, not from hunger but from other things.. I did learn a lot about the spiritual realm that I had not known before.

I do not understand all the explanations for fasting. It does not move God it has nothing to do with anything people say it does. Read Ida 58 THAT is the fast He calls us to!! We can discipline our body in other ways especially those who are overweight!!

Good preaching, praise God! Sorry that Dan not using a real KJ bible tho, so grieving when hear things like John 1:1 perverted by Satan and 99% don't even know it! The real word of God says that all things were made "by" Lord Jesus, not "through" Him, as Dan read... Big Difference!! "By HiM" shows that Jesus is God, because Gen 1:1 says that God created everything...Colossians 1:16 by Paul also says "by Him" Do your research Dan, and keep up the good preaching! (the above perversion is only one of thousands in the new modern perversions, get a real King James authorized bible to be sure)
