the only other team that was Perfect in the preseason (4-0) and then went winless in the regular season (0-16) other than the 2008 Detroit Lions was the 2017 Cleveland Browns which in the same year the Detroit Lions went 9-7 but missed the playoffs and then fired coach Jim Caldwell and since they had 4 straight losing seasons while the Browns made the Playoffs in 2020 and won their first playoff game since 1994 while the Lions haven't won a playoff game since 1991

He does point out an interesting factoid which is the 2008 Lion were undefeated in the preseason. Coincidentally the 0-16 2017 Browns also had an undefeated preseason.

To be fair to Dan, it was his first NFL start, and his O line allowed Jared Allen to get a clean look at the QB. Probably a bad play call in that situation. Why have your new, inexperienced QB run a pass play with a 5 step drop when they're backed up on the goal line?
