I swear that this clip was on an old Airwalk promotional VHS tape that I got with a pair back in like 1997 or 98. I've been searching for the video where he's climbing, then acts like he slipped. Falling and falling with each of his anchor points failing one after another. It looked like imminent doom until one of the anchors held strong. That is one of the most insane videos I've ever seen, and would really enjoy watching it again. Can anybody help me find it?

Small monkeys could be just as fast, but great apes have no chance, chimpanzees or oran-utans have their hands adapted to trees, and human hands and feet are superior to them on rocks and small holds. Our opposable thumbs are unbeatable in our weight class.

Seeing the anti free solo crowd go on about how selfish it is starting to get really comical. You guys realize that not everyone has a good relationship, or one at all with their family? Some people make friends, get into relationships, etc with people who are okay with and respect their values. Even if those values place some kind of mental battle/journey higher than maximizing physical safety. Its like youll give them every piece of credit possible up until it comes to the others in their life and at that point you assume they dont care or its just some sort of non consideration for them. If someone is making an informed decision let them do what they want. If that doesn't work for you than stop having a relationship with that person. This isn't directed at people who just want soloists to be responsible, just the ones CONSTANTLY going on about how its inherently always selfish and bad. Just because you dont understand them doesn't mean they're bad or uncaring people. also RIP Dan - absolute legend
