I just love that women's basketball is the headline for all these talk shows, had some serious ballers in the tournament this year and that's awesome. Big win for women's bball. (Also If Burrow can point to his ring finger so can Reese, social media is dumb)

Black women in sports are always vilified. Serena, Gabby Douglas, Simone Biles.. it can run the gamut of you weren't patriotic enough (Gabby Douglas didn't have her hand over her heart for the Anthem) or you let your team and country down (Simone Biles, who knew she could break her neck and become a quadriplegic if she didn't sit her ass down and get her mind right)... Serena was always vilified as too cock and not respectful enough ( no one ever asks Brady to be "respectful").. So Angel Reese gave Caitlin Clark a little bit of trash talk or whatever, but that made it so easy for many white people to call her all sorts of names, which they had been doing all season!) Dawn Staley was talking about the same thing. If Clark would've did what Angel Reese did, she would not have been called a thug or worse. In fact, Caitlin Clark's gamesmanship and trash talk has been praised

I think Joe will explain to Jill that it may look good being that the Iowa Caucuses are held in IOWA, but inviting the losers is not how it works and it won't go over well. And if Iowa has any pride and self-respect, they would kindly decline Jill's offer, which is really nothing more than sorrow and compassion caused by the suffering and misfortunes of Iowa's ass kicking by LSU. ASTONISHINGLY, Caitlin Clark said she's a fan of Angel Reese and actually defended Reese and came to Reese's defense saying, it's all about being competitive, she understood the gesture and did not take offense from it.

Democrats decided Iowans are too old and too white. Democrats kicked Iowa down the primary schedule so Iowa doesn't matter much to Democrats any more. Iowa is still the first Republican contest but that shouldn't matter to Doctor Jill.

Thank you, Dan Patrick! I was a fan of both LSU and Iowa during the season. Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese couldn't be more different and it's wonderful! I see a rivalry brewing, kinda like Bird- Magic, but with women. Thank you for acknowledging that LSU was the better team despite the horrible officiating. I think the NCAA needs to get refs from the NBA or even men's college ball to referee the women because the sport is improving. Man, Czinano was just such a tough force and honestly... the refs need to absolutely let the players play and to warn them before and during the game as far as, "I'll allow this, but not that... " There's a lot of flopping in women's basketball, and not just LSU/Iowa but the sport in general.

The worst part of the technical on Clark is that it wasn't even properly used. The rule Lisa Jones cited with the pool reporter afterwards says "Rule 10, Section 12, Article 3K. The definition of the delay can be found in Rule 4, Section 9, Article 1F, by failing to and it reads, attempting to gain an advantage by interfering with the ball after a goal, or by failing to immediately pass the ball to the nearest official after the whistle is blown." (This was tweeted out by a ton of media on site, I'm only not sharing link cause the comment will be hidden) 1. There was no advantage to be gained since it was a dead ball. 2. If you're going to use "failing to immediately pass the ball to the nearest official after the whistle is blown" then there have been at least a dozen of missed technical foul calls in every single basketball game. Furthermore, even if we all somehow agreed it was correct to call a technical foul there, it's a class B technical, which do NOT count toward personal fouls. Only class A technicals do. Also, class B technicals are only 1 free throw for the other team. LSU got 2 free throws for that technical. So either way, Clark should have still had 3 personal fouls and LSU got an extra foul shot. Look, LSU 100% deserved to win. Their bench with their 3 pointers in the 2nd quarter was the difference. Also, the refs were absolutely atrocious both ways. That said, that technical foul call and then incorrectly using the rule to give Clark her 4th personal is either A) Extremely fishy and/or B) Those refs should be fired because NONE of those 3 stepped in and corrected it.

I've been watching women's basketball since the '60s, when they had to hand the ball off to a rover at half court, because they were deemed too fragile to dribble the full length of the floor. To see many of them now effortlessly popping 3-point shots from near the center-court logo is a thing of beauty. And their team free throw percentage is often better than the men.

What response was Reese wanting from Caitlin.................a fight? She kept on and on wanting some kind of confrontation. "That was for all the girls that look like me". (her words) What she's saying is, "You black girls that got whipped by the white girls from Iowa..........specifically that Caitlin, we gotcha". She literally made it black over white issue and everyone knows it but won't admit it. For Reese, it was not LSU pride , but black pride, and she showed it in a classless display. After the game she had a moment to "step back" from her actions a bit.....................but not the ability. LSU was the superior team, Iowa has the best player and Reese' actions unfortunately fit the stereotype.

That's not really what happen tho or else this wouldn't have become the story it is. Clark, Steph Curry and many others do the "John Cena ' gesture as a form of celebration But if they did it like Reese did it and did it during the game a technical would be called. Reese followed the girl around the court and celebrated the win in her face which was totally classless I'm sorry but it was. And I'm from Baton Rouge geauxTigers I'm proud of them. But I'd high school girls start celebrating in there face of there opponents instead of shaking hands it will have started a trend that nobody wants to see. Because the white girls won't fight back but black girls will.

LSU might have been upset about Caitlin Clark doing the John Cena "you can't see me" move to a SC player, except that didn't happen. Clark's John Cena move was not in the direction of any one player, it was a very brief, generic move, and she certainly didn't stalk another player to "disrespect" (as Reese talked about) anyone. With that said, LSU won the game, and "To the victor belong the spoils" (William L Marcy). LSU had/has the better team, by far, with much more depth on the bench. Now, to address the Reese/Clark issue, head-to-head, Clark outscored Reese 30 to 15, had more assists 8 to 5, but was smoked by Reese in rebounds; Reese had 10 boards to Clark's 2! If anyone really should have been up in Clark's face, I think it should have been Jasmine Carson, who came into the game averaging 2 pts/per, but lit up the scoring with a team high of 22! Angel Reese is a prominent player, but she should keep things in perspective before targeting a player to attempt to disrespect.

Clark was doing this last year, and all of the coverage was on Boston. That's because Iowa was eliminated early. She's the most covered, because she's the best and more importantly, the most entertaining player in the sport. She's the main reason that every round broke viewership records. It doesn't hurt she's white, but it's not the main reason she was covered the way she was.

I do like when they get the crowd involved but the punch is another form of this taunting its not ok. And no RACE DOES NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT. They are athletes not colors. They are fierce competitors, they should have been coached better on behavior. If not their parents then certainly their coaches. To try to say its a race thing takes away from these women. @4:05 No! Race has nothing to do with this. This is just trash-talking and "back-atcha" competitiveness. Let's not go woke and bring race into it. This was good for women's BBall. Let it go as heat-of-the-moment trash-talk.

What a novel concept - basketball refs calling offensive fouls. #nbarefstakenotice The LSU coach should have at least been warned about planting herself so much on the court.

Wait, in a sport dominated by African-Americans, LSU was upset because a white player, the best player in the country by far, got so much attention? Well, boo freaking hoo. And, no, Clark did not do the same thing against S. Carolina. Much different to taunt AFTER the final buzzer. Go celebrate with your team. If anything, it's sad that Reese preferred to taunt a superior player rather than celebrate with her teammates.

@@JimmyJuelz i just don't care if either girl wants to taunt the other. don't care 100%. win, and then you can decide is how i look at it. lose, and come back and bring it again. angel reese and caitlin clark are now making media money today, and they aren't getting shit for it. thats how i see it. not black and white, just blue bills not going to either. assuming you know isn't the route to go with anyone. don't know ya, and don't care. he is reporting on the media. he is the media and he is talking about the story. no race baiting going on. tomorrow the money will be cashed out, and clark and reese will be story of the past. at best make it to the wnba which is basically peanuts for talent level.

Carrot-top guard in the first half and point guard in the second half had freakishly extraordinary shooting games for LSU. Also, drama queen Coach was happy to throw a ‘physical’ game at Iowa because she knows it’s impossible to call every obvious foul, refs won’t do it. End of story on how they won. As for Reese she had a mediocre game making the fawning attention contrived. Over rated.

Because she's an incredible player who came in averaging 23 points and 15.5 rebounds per game, on 52.5% shooting, 15 points and 10 rebounds on 41.7% is a bad game.
