Was this a tribute to Larry Allen or talking about other lineman, not the best tribute Dan.

Michael Strahan tells of a story facing Jonathan Ogden. He asked his d-line coach for tips or strategy. He told strahan “good luck.”

Joe jacoby needs to be in the hall of fame period thanks Dan for acknowledging he was not just famous but a great player worthy of being inducted

Allen could have been a Hall of Famer at any position on the line. He was probably the strongest player in NFL History, he had a nasty streak, and amazing athletic ability for his size. He is the best guard to ever play in my opinion, and a top 5 OL with Munoz, Ogden, W. Jones and B. Mathews.

John Randle said he was there the day Larry benched 692 lbs. "I've seen Larry take linebackers and throw 'em 20 yards. Not 5. Not 10. TWENTY yards. And that linebacker comes back to the huddle like 'What am I supposed to do?!' Do the best you can," Randle said. "Do the best. You. Can."

He played during their relatively lean years, but John Hannah deserves a mention

Legend. Also odd Dan forgot John Hannah, the first Patriots HOFer

Being an Ohio kid, he probably didn't see Hannah play as much because the Pats weren't a good team except for him most years. Growing up an hour out of Boston, I was lucky enough to see 'Hoss' over his last five seasons. Even then, he was great.

I always will remember Madden doing Cowboys games and showing Emmitt running in total open space because Larry and Co had basically cleared out the whole D. RIP man.

Larry Allen was FAST, agile, and great.

Larry Allen might be the greatest player ever to wear pads, cleats and a helmet. Name a more dominant player...hint it isn't any QB.
