Subscribed. Like to see peeps build a Dana 30 and have fun. No sense in Dana 60’s to have fun on smaller tires like all the sponsored channels say u need

Wow, you could be a teacher with the way you explain things, even with the camera fails and missing footage this is super well done, I'm preparing to regear a tj dana 30 and will use your video as reference to keep me centered, Toyota gears are way easier to build and I have done a lot of them, I hope I can get through this without screwing it up

Thank you, I found your video was complete, detailed enough to perform the job without a bunch of unnecessary words, very refreshing and easy to watch and understand!!

I’m in this process right now and have watched this video several times. I have a HP Dana 30 as well and went with the Powertrax Grip Pro LSD. I toyed with the idea of going all out with the sleeves and truss but for now re-gear and LSD with new wheel hubs will do, can always come later now that the hard stuff (getting old hubs off!) is done and add that stuff. Great video, thanks for all the details. I’m at 4 tries on getting the right pattern.

Wow! What a lot of work on an axle to receive only a lunchbox locker. Everything from resleeve to c&t, new pinion, truss. You must of had quite a few hours in this build! Glad to hear everything is still holding up!

Still loving the powertrax lunchbox 2 years later, highly recommend!

Awesome! Thanks for sharing. Just got a set of 30&35 for my YJ and will try to rebuild and learn. Your video helped a lot. What kind of lockers is that?

I have a 2011 ford ranger fx4 off road with a solid front axle swap. So I was thinking about getting a Spartan locker for my front axle for when I go off road to have full traction. But the problem is I'm worried about steering binding because of it & daily driving. Do you recommend a limited slip or auto locker?
@trailandcoАй бұрын
I can't speak for the Spartan locker but this powertrax locker is awesome! 0 issues with daily driving, it's invisible.
@genoory5090Ай бұрын
@trailandco okay. Cool. I was worried of getting it bind up in sharp turns while driving on pavement . But I guess imma get it👌🏻.

Almost the same except the low pinion Dana 30 uses a crush sleeve instead of pinion bearing shims. Setting a crush sleeve is a PITA.
