Justin & Gordom met again in a late night TV show that Gordon co-hosted in 2016. The host invited 3 KN UK's restaurant owners tested Gordon if he still remember them. The owners in the show were Justin, Momma Cherri (Soul Food Shack), & an old man who owned a restaurant with confusing menu. Gordon remembered Justin.

I always preferred Kitchen Nightmares UK over the US version. There is more focus on humanity than the dramatic side and the fact that Gordon Ramsay narrates his whole UK series unlike the US.

07:31 Customers may not tell you the food is bad. They tell you the food is good by coming back. Which this owner doesn't have, repeat business.

Exactly. Ramsay always says, "the costumers tell you with their feet." If it's good, they'll walk back in. If it's shit, they'll walk out & never come back.

One of the reasons I prefer the UK versions is because Gordon feels like less of a character like he does in the US versions and more like his real self. At least, in my opinion.

he respects the chef because he did never say thats how its supposed to be or thats what we have to do. He said thats what we get... i wish we could do better... Gordon sees that, also u already pointed out, there is nothing terrible or dangerous or not going together with the food. It also helped, that noone hid anything from gordon. I think from a neutral stand point, even not knowing how good the chef is, there are problems that needs to be fixed before we even test the chef! Also the kitchen was in good clean conditions and even it was bad food it was properly stored and labeled, so gordon could clearly see there is something there to use! Also Gordon does allways check the competition, local products and so on, thats not specific to UK, he does the same on every american show, its just not allways in the final cut of the episode! Also for Music, i like it when i eat w/ my family, i dislike when i go with my friends! Best i found is 1 local food place that has music on Tuesday and Saturday, and inform any customers about it! It is also in the menu and hung out on the wall where the opening times are!

Still open, under new management. Justin sold up in 2017, but not before he made Chef Ritchie redundant and replaced him with a 'cook' instead of a 'chef', afterwards there's been numerous issues with the place including owing over £300,000 to debtors and being taken to employment tribunal my ex-employees for skimming wages. Justin now runs a Hospitality Consultancy (how he thinks he is in a position to consult anyone is beyond me), Ritchie moved on to work at several other restaurants in Sheffield before I believe settling down to be a stay at home dad to his 3 daughters.

I seriously don’t how people think this is better than the US version which it isn’t the US version is way better, the UK KN is so soulless and boring and the fact that the US version has more seasons and has way more memorable scenes than the UK version shows which one was successful and definitely the better one.
@lightinger85485 ай бұрын
The us version is drama filled reality tv with just awful people. The Uk version is more human and does better with the core concept of helping a struggling restaurant. I dont like reality tv much but i do like the UK KN.
@alexanderzadoroznyj5 ай бұрын
Gonna go ahead and disagree there; I find the US KN to be great when I want a dopamine hit of over the top acting with a side of non stop dramatic music and camera cuts… but that’s also what makes the US version the soulless one to me. The UK version has more humanity to it, imho, and that’s why I prefer it. But I guess we’ll just have to agree to disagree.

Nah there's less editing here and it feels much more real. Gordon doesn't just walk in an immediately has a hate boner for the owner like the make him in the US version
@AliceBunny052 ай бұрын
@@lightinger8548yeah, the US version of KN is pretty much reality TV. which some people do like, but that dosen't make it better than the UK version. it just makes it more suitable for people who like reality TV. you get a lot more of gordons actual personality, humor, and genuine passion in the UK version rather the the character he plays up for the US version, because people find it entertaining. The UK version is more straightforward and honest, while the US version is conducted as mainly a vector for entertainment. You can even tell with the editing style, words/phrases are spliced with sentences that they didn't originally belong to at least a couple times in every single episode. If you pay attention, you'll be able to see that the things they say are more manipulated and shuffled around.
