The police focused on one guy and made his life miserable til he got a lawyer and DNA cleared him. There is a guy in North Carolina who was a wannabe pimp at the time who supposedly confessed to a friend but the police never acted on it. There really needs to be a reopening of the case. ACPD is incompetent.

Those places were hopping in the 80's and 90's, time sqaure was full of them and almost every city had some, I went in one with a few buddies when I was in my mid 20's , and we were actually stalked as several older guys followed us around panting, all the booths had glory holes big enough to stick your hole head through , . We had no idea gay guys hooked up in there, when we went to the counter to get tokens we were looking at all the weed pipes they had, the guy behind the counter reached down and picked up one that was shaped like a penis and asked if we wanted one of those. !!!. . The first booth I went in had a glory hole that was about 3 feet high and a foot wide, and within 20 secounds of me shutting the door and dropping a few coins in, some white guy dropped the biggest penis I have ever scene to date through, it had to be 13 to 14 inches, very oddly shaped and not circumcised, I am in my 60's now and have yet to see one even close to the size of that thing, no porn actors black or white have even come close,.. The guy was tall and lanky red head and very unattractive almost nerdy looking. When I quickly exited the booth my buddy came out of the one on the other side and we both looked at each other with shear terror in our eyes, as a crowd had gathered like we were on display, . We flew out of that place as fast as we could, and I never set foot in one again, .. my buddy said the booth had cut outs ( glory holes) on both sides because John Holmes senior showed him his weapon also, .. I have never forgotten how disproportionate that thing looked hanging off him, and always wondered how in the heck he managed to function from day to day with that much meat hanging there , as it truly did hang dam near down to his knees.

I stayed in abandoned motels several times out of desperation,no where else around and no transportation. One time the owner opened up room for us and no one had been inside the place for numerous years. So our room had free spiders, dust and mold. No towels or linens, no soap, a little running tepid water. Another hotel turned 0ut to be a homeless shelter. Another was a huge abandoned resort that had one room they let us use. I could go on and on.

Hey, Dan, be careful, man! When you got out of your truck to film inside that terrible backrooms motel you left your truck running with the door wide open. That's a big no-no in a place like Atlantic City. It's one really common way people get their vehicles stolen. Anyone could've run up and taken the truck and everything in it and you wouldn't have even seen them coming. Imagine being stranded like that in a place like THIS. Ugh. But anyway, excellent work, as ever. Your videos never disappoint. Something about this place gave it an extra air of creepiness, even in the broad daylight. It made the hair on the back of my neck stand up a few times.

Please share any details if you are able! Thanks for giving me something interesting to research!! I haven't been able to find a new subject matter to immerse myself in as I've not had anything that has been both intriguing and new to me. I have been forced to take time off due to a medical condition that I am currently having to undergo an extensive sustained period of some really aggressive types of treatment and it's really been so limiting on my ability to do little else and it's so isolating and lonely and boring. I have been in a funk that would be amazing to be distracted out of, but I've already binged the shows and movies and read all of the books, and researched and diy'ed all of the craft and hobby related activities and interests and have organized and rearranged the furniture, the landscaping, started gardening, making things more cat friendly and fun.....okay, TMI. Sorry, but just another hopeful wish to hear your story! ❤

No wonder they don't have live girls anymore considering just how absolutely disgusting those booths are or the fact anyone chooses to go to a booth, pay money, and do something that can so easily be done at home for free with video.... like someone has already said, whoever goes there regularly should be put on some sort of watch list. It's that sort of thing that leads downhill to a sex worker getting murdered and dumped, and that's putting what probably happened to those murdered women lightly. Makes me want to cry for humanity...

Dude I'm so glad I'm not the only one. Over 10 years ago, a girl was hit and killed pretty horrifically at the intersection outside my neighborhood, and her family (who live in a different neighborhood a few miles away) have kept up a memorial ever since. Originally, they set up on the median where her body landed, but the flowers and balloons were deemed a safety hazard, so they moved everything to the corner. They went so far as painting a larger and larger section of the sidewalk until the city issed a cease & desist (which the family sadly fought in court), and they change up the decorations with the seasons. FOR OVER A DECADE. I admire their dedication, but it feels macabre. My cousin was killed in a similar manner 15 years ago, and we remember her and talk about what her life may have been like, but we don't keep a stranglehold on our grief. (She was a teacher, so some of us donate school supplies and classroom money in her name instead.)

The main drag was all $20 buck a night places, where many people lived . One after the next . Toys strewn about, towels hanging in the windows, cars on flats . It was wild to see . I couldnt wait to get the hell outta there, & on to the next leg of wherever the road trip took us . When my photography friend & I got back home after this week long trip exploring the Southwest, we talked on the phone about the main drag & the motel signs we had photographed, we read the reviews on Yelp & were blown away . He lived in Chicago, & I lived near Knoxville when we made that trip . I always enjoy hearing other peoples travel experiences .

@@loribenvenuto4679 He was staying at the Golden Key when the girls were found. Terry's girlfriend at the time called the police and said "My husband said he did it" That was all the police needed to hear at the time and zeroed in on Terry. You can Google his name and read the stories. One reporter, Brain Hickey did a story on Terry called The Fifth Victim stating that because of what was said about him between the cops ,investigators news, they in turn took his life from him. That in turn his life will never go back to what it was before this all started. In the end, his DNA he provided didn't match the DNA they found at the scene, It took about 10 years before they started looking at other suspects and leaving Terry alone. That one statement by his ex, literally took Terry's life from him. They never found the Eastbound strangler as of today.
