I hate the fact that some people didn't like Sammy, calling him stupid or annoying. He was by far the sweetest character in my opinion. He was there for everyone, even when he couldn't afford the academy, he was confused about his feelings and the worst thing, when his father did not approve his dream. He could manage all that drama, and did not allow it to eat him up. I cried when he died because he was like the one who got the group together. He was the GLUE Props if you understood that one...😉

This episode always makes me realize how special and precious Dance Academy is. This show is about so many things: goals in life, friendship, growing up, dealing with loss and pain and dancing as a way of self expression. All the characters have their own stories and they are so real. The way this episode shows all the different ways of dealing with loss is raw and painful, but so real and beautiful at the same time. The feeling those people give me, standing there in the sun together with the beautiful song playing in the background... the last three episodes make me cry straight away, every single time I watch them. They are made so well, everything makes sense. Dance Academy owns a very special place in my heart. It's comfort, but also a place where I can go when I just need to cry. It's such a precious show and I'm very grateful to have it as a part of my childhood

I agree, I only started watching this show a few years ago. But it's literally one of my favorites of all time. A good example why is the memorial scene in this episode. So many things in this show were written with so much realness, you can really tell the writers cared about telling a good story with impactful characters. The way I can rewatch this show many times and the sadness the last few episodes of season 2 gives me never subsides. This show is holds a very special place in my heart. You put all my feelings into words haha

14:05 this is probably my favorite line/scene in the whole show. It’s so heartbreakingly sad but it’s how grief is. You don’t just remember the good things about someone you love when they die. rewatching this for like the 10th time hahah. but each time I nvr get over how much i relate to Tara's way of grieving. Its so scary but you can tell while shes open about all her feelings all the time, sth like this she just goes straight into survival and bodyguard mode where shes just holding onto ppl arnd her. Keeping them sane to prevent herself from letting go and giving into the pain fully. and i think a part of it is cus she hyper aware of how strong her emotions usually are and I think she's afraid to feel the true depth of her pain adn grief. adn helping and being there for others is just how SHE copes. As someone with a very similar grieving mechanism ive always related and i think always will
