Dance Academy is mainly about the fifteen-year-old Tara Webster - a girl who grew up on a farm in outback Australia. Rewatching now that I’m older, I finally get it. Tara was never a bad dancer, it’s just that she was now in the top, most elite school in the whole country. Being the best at your local dance center is not at all the same thing as being the best in a high rated prestigious academy. With that being said, I wish I was an actual dancer so I could understand what they were saying about her poor technique😂

I find that the way dancers move their bodies, its artwork. I miss my ballet days. I had to give up because my studio closed but I am looking for studios near me so I can get back into it. Hearing Xenia’s opening line for the series and closing line for the series and just hearing how much she’s grow not only as a dancer but as an actress and grew Tara as a character.
