tbh I think everyone needs a little Australian show in their life. The Teen/Young Adult series are (in my opinion) better than Degrasse or some other similar show. I'm glad that I had shows like Dance Academy and H20 (the original). And thank you for uploading the last two seasons lol I only made it halfway through season 2 when I was younger.

Throughout the series people have complained about Tara being whiny and having to many crushes but she is the strongest tv character I know. She has gone through so much loss, heartache, injuries, bullying, struggles - and she always pushed on and was there for her friends and believed in her dream when it came down to it.

I, too, was disappointed that Christian didn't sign his contract. Throughout the series you can tell he feels ambivalent about having professional dance career. Sometimes he's very committed, sometimes he blows it off. But when he finds himself teaching, he really gets into it. I think he feels most comfortable and most happy teaching, so he goes with his gut.

Ollie is a very talented dancer, but his ego got in the way, especially when he was I third year the first time. I was going to say that he didn't have Abigail's focus or discipline (and he doesn't, but not man people do). He did learn to control his ego and accepted that he should look for alternatives rather than counting on a contract. He grows, but we don't see it as much as we see Abi grow.

I ship Ollie and Abigail so much as friends! Because, even though they both have some character flaws, I think they are good for each other. I think that Ollie has had a deeper back story than what is actually discussed on the show, so like they said in the beginning of the season, there is a lot that they have in common, and that is exactly what I think makes them so perfect for each other.

I clearly remember when I watched the first episode. I didn’t go to school that day because I was sick and I remember identifying so much with Tara. We were the same age, we both danced, we were both very sheltered and dreamers to the point of ridicule. Then I grew up and so did she. I fell in love and so did she. We had our first heart breaks together and, a lot of the times, the things she’s narrated throughout the show were things I was feeling. I even broke my back like Tara (my L5 pars interarticularis. They call it spondylolytis)! Its freaky 😂 Every time I feel sad or just plain lost in life I come back to this show. I’ve watched it a LOT (and so has my husband now 😂 he really loves it.) And every time I watch it, it never fails to take me back to that afternoon when I was home from school, sick, looking for something on tv to help me feel better. Thank you from this beautiful cathartic form of escapism.

Christian wanted that contract so bad because he finally realized why Tara pushed him so much but when he gets it, he doesn’t tell anyone and then chooses teaching over being in the company. He is an amazing teacher but I wish he told people because he has two types of people in his life, those who say they work harder than him yet he’s still the favorite and those who push him to his full potential

Okay, this is the first time in my life I have officially watched all episodes in English, a language, which is not my first one. It was quite hard without the subtitles in season 3, but I cried anyway. This series is my comfort series. I grow with the characters, I identify with them, even though I am not a dancer. Dance Academy is so well made. I bet at the time I will be rewatching this for the 100th time, I will still learn something from it. Thank you, Dance Academy.
