Dreamcatcher is amazing. They shine the boy-group charisma and their choreographies are always fast paced while they sing like they ate a CD for breakfast. They are very underrated bc their title tracks are mainly rock-based and have darker concept, this is very unusal for a girlgroup. But they not only rock these rock songs, but also can deliver other genres. Chase me: Ghost hunter investigates haunted hotel where dream catcher resides Good night: he captures Sua, but the girls later rescue her and instead traps him inside the mirror while escaping… Fly High: is a prequal which shows how dream catcher becomes nightmares; Yuhyun killing the spider (lady). Jiu seeing herself is a flashback to Fly High for example… one can go on and on but not good for one’s mental health… the trap element w/ rock makes this song one of the best that have come out this year in Kpop. the deep base is awesome, the guitar and drum setup are great… I consider this as a dream catcher “rock ballad.”

Dreamcatcher chase me was their debut song. Their latest song is piri if you want something more new. But here other choreographies by them full moon, you and I, good night and sleep walking. Theses are their song but you can watch some of their cover : dance practice 1,2,3,4, lucky strike, believer and regret of the times (the title is in Korean but this is the translation) Sorry, I'm not fluent in English so if there are some mistakes, I can't see them...

Dreamcatcher always can amazed people at the very first second of their songs. I gotta say, all of their songs have cool opening. And ofc, the rest of the choreo are so damn crazy good like this. And also, in each song they always have this killing part/killing dance point that make you can't forget the choreo for at least a month lmao. They are indeed this good, both dance and vocal. They are god. I hardly could choose the best choreo of them for me, but I gotta say my favorite moves/parts are in *Good* *Night* and *You* *and* *I*

Hihi, I love them for their metal vibe and horror themed MV's that tell an awesome story. Their b-sides and covers are softer, some ballad-like and show their vocal qualities even more. Oh right, they can also dance! 😜 Their MV's focus on choreo too, but with cool outfits and story elements! Be sure to check them out in order of release. Lullaby and some other b-sides have the member names in subtitles which is great to learn their names and faces.

Every one of their title tracks has the same kind of vibe to it - it's rock and pop fused together, and they pull it off so well. Their B-sides (of which there are a number of special clips up on their YT channel) experiment with different genres, and tend to have a bit more 'traditional' kpop girl group moves to them. They also do loads of covers, and the YT channel hello82 just uploaded a video of them covering boy group dances from the first half of 2019. AFAIK, there's no significance to the hair move in Chase Me, at least not in the lyrics. DC is extremely different not only in their sound, but in their entire concept - they do dark, gothic horror/thriller concept as their base and not as a once-off, and that all of their MVs are related to each other. You might enjoy watching Good Night, which is the direct sequel to Chase Me (the outro of the Chase Me MV is the intro to Good Night's song and MV) - there's tutting, levels, and footwork all in the exact same sequence. Fly High has more symbolism in their dances (pointing at rainbows) but has a nice waaking sequence, You & I utilizes props, What is vastly underrated imo, and their latest comeback of Piri was absolutely amazing. Also - you are the FIRST I've seen who notices the blinds motion where Gahyeon (maknae, vocal, rapper, genuine fluffball - she's in the white sweater and shorts) suddenly appears out of everyone. It's my favorite part in each of their songs.

I think you should check out Dreamcatcher's Full Moon and Fly High! Those two dances seemed the most impressive to me. Full Moon's pre-chorus features a lot of chest pumps and the chorus is kinda similar to Chase Me - has a lot of synchronized leg movement. Fly High features a lot of wacking(?) and also more of those ripple transitions you were talking about! Sorry for using any wrong terminology btw, I'm not a dancer, just a Dreamcatcher fan :)

Dreamcatcher is super talented and cool, they are not very well known and so their fanbase is quite small compared to other kpop groups from the same generation. They have rock+baby metal elements to their music and they have a nightmare concept. All their choreography is amazing and much stronger than other girl groups, a little bit more like boy grouo choreos. Their other title tracks are 'Goodnight', 'You & I', 'What', 'Piri' and 'Dejavu'. If you do react to any others I also recommend their bside 'Sleep Walking' for its choreo and they do lots of dance covers, mostly choreographed by member SuA. Another two great girl groups for choreo are Loona and Gfriend. Gfriend is often called the lighter Dreamcatcher, because their concept isn't as dark, but otherwise they have a lot of similarities in choreo style. Loona's choreo is really unique and cool, especially 'Butterfly' and hopefully their soon to be released track 'So What'. They also have really good dance covers of boy groups.

Another group to check out is Loona (or written as LOOπ∆). Like Dreamcatcher I love them for the story they tell with their videos and another different approach to kpop. They started with a very long predebut phase, releasing one girl each month with single, MV and b-side (often a nice duet). After every few girls they released a subunit, each with a different vibe. About a year ago they released their first OT12 MV (Favorite) and debut Hi High. This year they had their first comeback with Butterfly, which you'll probably like most. Who said only boys have hard choreo's? 😂 They did some nice boygroup covers, you should check out too!
