Easy way to make these revolvers very accurate. Pick yourself up a good oversize .002 reamer. Ream the cylinder chambers. This helps dramatically. You can even ream the forcing cone to a shallow angle. If Desire. Once you have the tools you can now do all of your guns. makeing them all more accurate

Welcome to the Dance percussion revolver. I am an absolute fan of the Dances, and love using your combustible-making kits to build paper cartridges for Dances. I have shot over 500 rounds through my pair of 2014 Pietta Dances without a single cap jam, misfire, hangfire, or chain fire. These revolvers, when loaded correctly and maintained properly are one fine set of revolvers for SASS-CAS. I did put Slix-shot cones on mine, otherwise they are Pietta stock revolvers. Thanks for another superb percussion revolver video, sir.

No one brings this up..but you can load your caps from the left on a Dance. Hold the gun in your right hand and load caps with your left. It is a nice little feature.

That pistol really cries out for a set of faux antique ivory grips. You installing them would make a great video.

That dance Brothers is an amazing firearm. I'm a person you have the standard model I am going to save up for a silver one know and hopefully start getting videos online and start doing dual actions, you did a smart decision getting a dance Brothers as you can probably tell there's no cap jams. But as you noticed, it does leave the percussion caps exposed when you free fire

Between my Walker and my Dance Bros. - these are my two favorite Texan icons. The Dance Bros. manufacturing took place down about 50 miles from me. Didn't realize my Dance Bros. was 10 years old (mine isn't the fancy version you have.)

A Lovely gun indeed! And have black powder revolvers, your gun looks like it fits the hand well. I think you may well know what I’m talking about, that imagination of feel when you see photos or videos of firearms. Kind Thanks as Always, Many Blessings and Thanks for keeping some of your powder muzzled! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania

Right handsome revolver! The finish is interesting to say the least. Yet like yourself, I always let the shooting ability and accuracy play a role in judging a weapon. I believe you have a winner there, which no doubt will provide you with lots of enjoyable times.👍

Not having recoil shields, is a Dance replica less susceptible to cap jams ?? Beautiful weapon. I would consider getting back into C&B revolvers if the components would become more readily available.

It does seem to help with that. The spent caps fall away easily.

Dustin, I know you converted your walker to 45 long Colt, but have you tried the conversion revolvers by Cimarron or other suppliers? The Richards type II in 45 Colt rocks! The Dance Brothers revolver looks and shoots great.

Not to be rude but technically that’s inaccurate since they weren’t really navy revolvers but more like shrunken dragoon style revolvers

Very nice looking gun. I just can’t get past the way Pietta engraves the barrels. I loathe it.😬
@davidslone97769 ай бұрын
Me too. I loathe it so much, that I refuse to buy a Pietta cap & ball revolver. I will go with Uberti, who hides all their "lawyer crap" under the loading leaver, out of sight.

I wish Pietta would hide the "black powder only" beneath the loading lever, like Uberti does. It takes away from the aesthetics of the firearm, and is just plain butt-ugly.
@davidslone97769 ай бұрын
@@JFK-co4fqStill Uberti doesn't do it. Pietta can "untool", easily. Someone will always put smokeless powder in a blackpowder firearm, if nothing else they will look at the color of the powder, and much smokeless powder is black, or very dark. I did not say they should eliminate the warning to use only black powder, I said they, like Uberti, can hide it under the loading lever. Firearms manufacturers are going to be sued regardless, by the ignorant. It's a sue happy world, and low-life's want money, but are too lazy to simply read up on the subject of blackpowder firearms. Pietta can do it, they just don't want to.
@ronrobertson599 ай бұрын
I took Pietta 30 yrs of complaining about the Pietta tail o. Their 1851 Navy before they took the hint. Maybe in 30 yrs they'll hide the Bkack powder only made in Italy under the loading lever. I own 21 Uberti revolvers 14 are cap and ball all because Pietta writes on the side of the revolvers.
