All that nice engraving and the knotheads at Pietta still stamped the barrel in plan view. Some people can't take a hint.

That's a pretty gun. I find the one thing I don't like about Black Powder revolvers is that they are ADDICTIVE, I see you have the same addiction!

Darn pretty pistol. I have the old silver plain. To make it more original I swapped the grip for the larger Army and rejiggered the trigger guard more square. I think it feels better. I even used it as my EDC for a while. When I was feeling ornery. 😉

I love the looks of that gun. I watched them for a long time on EMF, but they were always out of stock. I want to get one and do a couple of slight modifications to make it a little more historically accurate. Basically just reworking the trigger housing to a shape a little more squared off than that and lower the hammer spur just a bit. Also, I will probably nickel plate the brass. I know the nickel plated brass is not historical but I just think it would really go good with the gun.

I got the same new Pietta box on an 1861 Colt Civilian model (german silver trigger guard / backstrap model).

It needs a silver plated backstrap and trigger guard, Ivory grips and owned by a masked man who rides a white stallion and has a brave Indian companion. Very Nice hogleg Dustin.

First thing I would do is take my Dremel tool and get rid of the writings on both sides of the barrel. Even my old Mattel Fanner 50 is not marked up like this. 😀

I came very close to getting one of these, but decided to seek out a Rodgers and Spencer LOL I ended with 2 R&S in the same week. This may still happen at a later date.

Wow that is amazing. It seems like Pieta does a lot more intricate or fancy engraved pistols. I am a big Uberti fan but this is beautiful. On another note Dustin have you done a video on making your own caps? I can’t find #10’s for love or money.

You better be prepared for it blowing back in your face with the recoil shield missing if it ever chain fires. Beautiful gun.
