What...tilian has done a phenomenal job and they owe it to the fans to recreate the music with the new vibe. Not that many other bands still play the songs old singers wrote. Much less re record them for the fans... They embrace the changes unlike other bands that ignore them or pretend like certain eras never happen. That's why DGD will always work.

This is absolutely amazing. I think there's too much production on all instruments/vocals on their newer records, and this is exactly what DGD should sound like. Very natural sounding drums, screams without a lot of distortion and less autotune/effects on Tillian. Guitars played to perfection. They should record all their albums live!

I personally think the overproduction and Tillian trying to reach the firmaments with his vocals are detrimental to the raw, creative, dissonant nature of their music. Tillian + impression of Kurt's style = Anthony Green. Honestly though, I mean that as a compliment because both Tillian and Anthony showcase an uncompromising grit that I rarely see with singers of their range. Jon's vocals have that edge to them that's just great and whomever they got to do session guitar work jives really well with Will's crunchy grooves. Matt's crazy good behind the kit as always and Tim's bass is smooth and awesome. This version is fucking rad and shows that DGD is just as good with and without studio mixing and mastering.
