@streamx3m in an adoption match, yes. Adoption is an attempt to beat someone 10-0, and the stronger player, the adopter, only wins if they win 10-0. A single win for the adoptee is a match win for them, even if they're down 9 games.

Danya should play in the speed chess championships this year. I actually think he would do pretty well, esp with the bullet time control at the end of the tournament format. Not saying he would win, but I could definitely see him making it deep, even against elite GMs. His blitz/bullet chess is outrageously good.

Danya is on another level. He's radically fast, even among Grandmaster. The guy can go toe to toe with Carlsen in hyperbullet. And he would do the same with Nakamura if not for personal, emotional issues

Daniel's strength seems to be with these blitz/bullet games where he is able to compete with these so-called super grandmasters. He is already a very strong grandmaster (among top 200 for sure) but in blitz/bullet he should be much higher.

He got 3rd in chess сом's most recent Bullet chess championship ─ in which many of the world's top players such as Nakamura, Tang, Minh Le, and Bortnyk participated ─ behind only Nakamura and Tang. He is frequently the highest-rated bullet player on both chess сом and Lichess. Objectively speaking, only Carlsen, Nakamura, Tang, and Alireza are better than him. He beats pretty much everybody else.

In the speedruns it's like watching quicksilver in that X-men movie... as soon as the 20 second sound effect bleeps Danya goes super speed and suddenly has 200 moves until defeat. More time than almost any chess game. It's no contest. The opponents gets maybe 10 moves in while Danya has 200 to work with

@@maxkho00 Aman and Tang both mid 2500 GMs . Danya is 2630ish ?Unsure . They are all fast. Aman had a hard time becoming a GM . He tries for many years till he finally got it in Iceland I believe. I am with the view ,Online play is different from OTB.

This is why adoption challenges are brutal against any professional player. To win ten games in a row with these odds is really, really difficult. Even though Danya is so much stronger, with only 30 seconds per game he is going to make mistakes. He actually made 3 obvious ones in this single video, Botez just failed to capitalize on the other two.

After only watching Danya in the speedrun videos he seems like a pretty smart player with a decent rating, but then videos like these pop up and you are reminded of his actual power level, an absolute beast. It's nuts how utterly outmatched a WFM is as an opponent.

Wait, isn't it actually a disadvantage for the Botez sisters to have to play together during a blitz match? If it were at least rapid, then having someone next to you to spot tactics, blunders, and good strats is nice. But during blitz, they can't help at all. They can only slow you down by distracting you.

It depends on how well they work together. The Botez sisters have a decent amount of practice playing Blitz as a team so it might even be an advantage for them. Though they did argue a lot.
