Thanks for the excellent instructions on how to play this challenging song. I am a 60ish man who is improving my intermediate skill level each day. You tutorial was fantastic. You intended to instruct us and not show off. I like how you broke it into pieces and speeds. I could not have learned this challenging song without you, especially the lick at the end. You are an excellent guitarist. I am very glad you care enough to share what you are capable of hearing and playing when most of us cant. Also you did it without being a show off like so many others. I am grateful.

The straight/diagonal bit is genius! This song just popped up on Amazon Music, and I've always thought it would be way too complex for me to learn. Not any longer, thanks to you sir! Wish I had seen it when it came out.

I don't know why I just found this video but, I have to say, you are using the best acoustic guitar known to mankind, the CFMartin and also, playing one of the most beautiful acoustic numbers ever composed. I had the good fortune to be able to learn this from "Fly" himself as I was working at a music store in FL where they (Orleans) came to play a show in our store one day. Great memories! Thanks mate

Damm I tried to play this by ear in the 1980's quite a challenge. No music sheets, guitar tabs or internet in those days.I managed to get my fingers around Classical Gas by Mason Williams (Finger style) Don't play anymore only watch you tube instrumental guitar videos'. May have to take the Ovation out of the case, wipe off the dust , re tune the nylon strings and re watch this video. Great tutorial. Thanks for the post. Liked and subscribed.
