It's criminal. Criminal that this only has 99 views, and 1 comment. Seriously it's one of the better Dancing Mad arrangements. Don't get discouraged by the low view count please. You have potential.

I don't believe you did this by ear, but I'm impressed at how good it sounds.

Your disbelief is very flattering. Thank you! To be fair though, I did need help with the almost-inaudible pedal/kick drum from 7:07 to the end, and with the organ jazz solo at 8:04.

The sound fonts between the two games are very similar, but theres definitely some sections where the differences stick out more because of that similarity.
@ainurmusician645 ай бұрын
Both soundfonts have pretty comprehensive orchestral instrument selections and samples with pretty solid quality given their games' hardware limitations, so the similarities are fairly organic and spontaneous. I did however tweak the release rates on some of the drums at the end so they'd abruptly cut off like the drums in FFVI. I also had to account for the men and women choirs' slow attack rates by shifting all their notes to start earlier to make it sound like they're hitting their beats on time.

If only Square Enix (Squaresoft at the time) could have made Final Fantasy 6 for the N64, I would have found this greatness years earlier.

Yeah, right? I mean I first heard this, the Prologue, Terra's theme, and Celes' theme way back in the 00's in an old KZbin Poop called "Final Spaghetti II," but it wasn't until 2018 when 8-Bit Music Theory made a video about those songs that I learned they were all from FFVI, and just because of the music, it became my first and favorite Final Fantasy game. Easily one of the strongest soundtracks of all time IMO.

It's super validating to know that there're even a few people who enjoy what I like making; thank you so much! 😁 (Though to be fair, that jazzy organ solo 16th-note shredding in the final movement just before the slowdown was a bit too jarbled for me to entirely follow even slowed down, and I had to consult 8-Bit Music Theory's video to correct my guesses, and "Mad Square Dancing" helped for transcribing the kick/pedal drum, too)

A Majoras mask font would be Insanity👀👀👀
@ainurmusician64 Жыл бұрын
It mostly is, actually! The OoT and MM fonts are the same with a select few instruments exclusive to either game. For example, the church organ appears only in OoT, but the saxophone and electric piano/rock organ instruments only appear in MM.

😮💨😮💨I’d love to hear that one day tbh, I mean narratively majora and kefka are so similar and with both of them combined it would be something beyond chaos🔥🔥
