15:34 that was when the realization hit me. The final movement could be interpreted as Kefka mocking other characters. At first his mocking Sephiroth, and at this time code he mocks Sabin and Edgar, their leitmotif almost begins, only to go onto a circus like rendition of Kefka's theme.

dark world and dancing mad are why kefka is the best ff villain.Both convey so much emotion. world of ruin:Pure utter despair and ruin. Dancing mad:A lunatic god who laughs and mocks the dead.I mean:how much worse can you get than someone who brought ruin to the world and laughs at the suffering and dying? Kefka's theme shows malice, when he is weak he is murdering people laughing about it. I would call kefka:THE LORD OF RUIN!! in the ff series or lord of despair.

Kefka has great themes, but he's not a great villain. His character could have been replaced with an evil frog and it wouldn't have affected the plot. He only exists to show up, laugh a bit, then complete whatever generic evil task he needs to do for the writers to advance the plot. "Hahaha! You just got the thing you needed! Now I will steal it! Mahahaha!" "I have done X before you could stop me, now I am unbeatable, Now I will gloat! Mahahaha! you are feeble! Mahahaha! Bow to me! AHAHAHA!!11!" Compare him to villains like Gwyn Lord Of Cinder, The Masked Man (Mother 3), and Andrew Ryan, you'll notice that he's cut and paste. Joke all you want about Tidus laughing badly [on purpose], but Final Fantasy 10's villains are ten times better written than Kefka. F**K even Sephiroth, the ultimate mama's boy, is better written, since he matters more to the plot in the long run.
@piromaniac99999 жыл бұрын
marklenthecool I disagree.Seymour guado was predictable.I want to destroy spira to save it by killing everyone.The guy who became god was interesting, but he was a joke as a villain.< Sephiroth is overrated.He read a book and became evil.We don't even know if he was really evil.We know that um hojo is evil and insane. The take on kefka wether you like it or not has more impact in ff6.Everything he does impacts everyone on the party.He is a psychopath who likes to torture and kill people, and he is also insane.The game is less about his backstory, and more about the impact.One person i remeber compared kefka to no country for old men:Why was he really evil? we know a bit about his history, but no matter how you put it, no matter what, there is no excuse to comit the evil heinous acts he has commited in ff6.The acts of torture degradation and murder is beyond bad.he doesn't even have respect for gestahl or leo, or the soldiers. FF6 also is a different game and meaning.Themes of love and family and meaning of life are explored, and i think it clashes very well with kefkas personality who is the opposite of that.
@piromaniac99999 жыл бұрын
marklenthecool I would accept better possible villains exist, but not on those below you listed such as sephiroth and um seymor guado.actually, a lot of ff villains are cliché comic book villains like ff8's ultimecia:MWAHAHAHAHA VILE DESGUSTING!! i vill destroy you MWAHAHAHAHA and then kills the president.Very very cliché and unoriginal. The reason kefka stands out is because. 1:He is weak and a coward.In ff series we have not had another coward that i can think of who was the main villain. garlands plot was interesting, but he didn't have any backstory either.His plot was confusing and had something to do with going back in time and creating the fiends to destroy the world to escape the heroes having an endless loop. FF2's villain wanted to become the ruler of hell and became just that and was all powerfull.He was always all powerfull as far as i know. FF3's villain is i don't remember FF legends was one of the more interesting ones.God created a bunch of mini gods to terrorize the world and have them climb up to entertain himself(asshole god) and rewards the person with power.It was all a game. FF4's villain was similar to darth vaders villain FF5 Ex Death a tree opening vortexes and having people fall in and die.He became the void FF6 kefka F7 sephiroth who was angry because he was an experiment and his father injected him with jenova.had a hissy fit and turned evil. FF8:Ultimecia joke villain who was more laughable than anything FF9: Kuja found out he was a mere mortal and a pawn and got angry tried to destroy the world.It was kinda dumb in some ways but at least it showed him doing evil stuff. FFX:The main villain is god in the end who created sin to continuously destroy the world.

I don't think this will ever happen. Kefka is so extremely inhuman and does stuff I doubt Disney would ever even want close to their characters.
