The fact that The Toymaker is switching accents throughout all these clips is so chaotic and really intriguing. Another commenter mentioned that the last time the Doctor beat the Toymaker, he did it by mimicking the Toymaker's voice. Maybe this is the Toymaker's way of making sure that doesn't happen again.

@@cunningsmile4166 IF the trailer for "next time" literally confirms what I've been thinking, is that the Toymaker CAUSES the doctor to regenerate after shooting him from being defeated, which causes him to turn into Ncuti's doctor afterwards which is why we see Fourteen regenerating or starting to and Ncuti's Fifteenth doctor in the TARDIS with Fourteens clothes still on and the tie undone and still around. It might be that RTD is trolling us and playing us like a fiddle when he said the "Can somebody PLEASE tell me what the HELL is going on here?!" scene with Ncuti is fake, I don't think it is, I think it's gonna be the exact final scene in UNIT before the doctor escapes inside the TARDIS.

The real question is... Can The Doctor even win? The last time (in mainline canon, ignoring extended media) The Doctor encountered The Celestial Toymaker, he didn't beat the guy! The Doctor's victory was in being able to get away! So the question is... Will The Doctor win? Or will the Toymaker just get bored and leave? We suspect it's just going the latter.

The first doctor was able to beat him by using his own voice against him when he made the move, so I reckon this will be something along the lines of the Toymaker not wanting to take the loss in his previous encounter by saying "it's still your final move, doctor!" Also, judging by the "next time" trailer, it shows Fourteen starting to regenerate, and Fifteen standing in the TARDIS post-regeneration with the tie undone and shirt unbuttoned, so it makes me think that the whole "RTD saying the Ncuti "Can somebody tell me what the hell is going on here!?" scene being fake" is gonna be the one that isn't fake and it literally shows Donna, Kate Stewart and other UNIT soldiers watching the doctor regenerate again.

Same, but at the same time we are blessed to have had him back at all. I sure never expected such a treat.These are special episodes for a reason after all. Rather then a whole new season. I just hope Donna gets a happy and satisfying end to her story this time. And that de doctor acrtualy stays in touch with her and visit her from time to time. It always bugged me how he just stops visiting companions he/she clearly loves and who are alive and well. For that matter, why doesnt the doctor hang out with the immortal buddies more from time to time. Jack lives a very very very long life. maybe longer then the doctor even by the end tally. I'm sure a lifelong friend would do both of them some good. jack is very underused in all this. I kind of hope he comes back even if Barrowman didnt age as well (to much plastic surgery done). But we have cgi for that these days.

I just had a creepy realization. When The Toymaker is waving to The 14th Doctor, the way it's shown to us implies he is not just waving to The Doctor. He's waving at YOU! Think about it. The Toymaker is a cosmic reality warping god who can easily step into the past or to the future, like stepping through a door(and he does just that). This means he can not only see alternate dimensions, universes, and timelines, but can go to them too.

Okay, so, theory... in the last episode, the fake-Doctor took off his tie, and it disappeared. Then when Donna points it out, the fake-Doctor said, "I see... when something is gone it keeps existing". There was also the whole thing with the salt, about how "two things can be true at once". With regards to the latter, the Doctor brings up that he invoked it at the edge of the universe, where logic doesn't exist. So, theory: this regeneration is going to split. 14 and 15 are going to both exist at once. I don't know how that's going to work in the show going forward, but this is something I think has already been leaked.

@@DisasterEnby for the most part, I'd rather just wait and see tbh but this idea has me curious so if you can elaborate on these parts of the leaks I'm cool with It. I guess it's possible it could be done without it being an issue in terms of on screen logic, but I'm not sure how. If 15 doesn't regenerate from 14 and 14 is still alive at the end of the next episode, how is 15 really the doctor? Sounds more like it would be some parralel/metacrisis/insertnonsensehere. And why would the show now follow the "new" doctor and just leave 14 to fly off into the cosmos (besides keeping tenant available for return whenever they like, I can't really think of on screen logic that justifies it)

@@prosaic4195 the current understanding of how the split regeneration will work, according to the leaks, is that when 14 regenerates, it's earlier in his timestream than he's supposed to - and so, due to weird time stuff, 15 gets pulled back in time to then from the moment of 14's regeneration. There's a line that alludes to this, but as far as I know it's not outright stated and spelled out - so you _do_ kinda have to pay attention. So essentially, going by the timeline, 14 is _meant_ to regenerate at a later point, but is forced by The Toymaker to regenerate early, resulting in an apparent "split" regeneration - but no, 15 is still The Doctor, just the next regeneration pulled back in time to the earlier one. I've seen a simplified version of it somewhere, but since I can't post images via youtube, I'll describe it. The image had the numbers 13 - 16 written, with an arrow pointing to each of the numbers after it (13 > 14, etc.) Beneath 15 is another arrow pointing back to 14, indicating the Toymaker causing that particular regeneration early and 15 being pulled back in time to it. Think of it tying back into how fate worked in RTD's first run - storylines like The Satan Pit, where the Beast _directly_ foreshadows Doomsday's events by saying Rose will "die in battle so very soon" - or Dalek Kaan saying a companion will die just before we get The DoctorDonna and Donna's memory has to be wiped so she doesn't die - effectively killing the DoctorDonna. So yeah, it's firmly in the insertnonsensehere category - as 10 would say, wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff.

I think they've said The Boss is a Ncuti villain, that will continue through at least his first season. It might be the next "the bees are disappearing" or Harold Saxon. RTD likes sprinkling things through a series before a big reveal at the end. So we may see a lot of people refer to "The Boss" during his first season.

@@otps8035given that they have Wilf with them and that it seems to be right at the beginning of the episode, chronologically right after they met him after leaving the Tardis, which was where they left in special 1, I would say they are still close to that location, which was supposed to be Camden Lock, which is in London. I am assuming here that you are aware of the concept "Filming location and setting are not the same thing".
