You'll be slightly disappointed because non-drinks vending machine is not really everywhere around the island. You most likely need to go around to different places specifically for that machine, like this one in the video, which I believe it's only at International plaza/CBD. You'll enjoy hawker food more. Trust me.

This would be good in colleges or at workplaces. It would probably be best at workplaces because a bunch of kids are gonna screw up the machine at a college. Nice video, sometimes it feels like I'm there!

there are 'chef in a box' machines that heat up your food. food is served hot without you having to microwave anything. personally never tried it but i walked past one and they smell so good

You get it frozen so you can take it home to heat. One of these vids showed a meal machine in apartment lobby. How great that would be when you are tired and have no food in the house.

I am always amazed at how clean these vending machines in Asia are. I live in San Francisco, these machines would be killed on day one, and there would be poo, pee, and needles in every opening.

Extremely high cost of living. Singapore looks like a 1st world country but has many poor ordinary folk. Don't be deceived by the nice looking trains and airport. Singapore is rich but that money is for the government controlled corporations.

The microwave doesn't have a rotating base, which may be why it was so slow at heating it. The microwave heats food in stripes so it had to rotate to achieve even warmth.
