Meanwhile, MCU Iron Man has survived a piece of a moon falling on him, a blast from the power stone (which can destroy planets), multiple hits from Thanos, multiple hits from Thor, was strong enough to draw blood from Thanos, and could stagger Thor with his repulsor blasts.

Homelander was bruised by Soldier Boy and Butcher. So he is not truly invulnerable, he just has an extremely high damage resistance to the people of his world. I like the fact that this video acknowledges that homelander is not that strong. In fact, no one in The Boys scales to what we see on screen in the MCU. Based on on-screen feats, iron Man has this.

Ironman drawing a drop of blood from Thanos is bigger than every strength feat in the Boys show

The difference is that the comics are a lot tamer. Iron-man routinely goes against enemies that SHOULD tear him apart, but by the power of teen ratings and plot armor he's fine. The Boys has no such plot armor to shield Iron-man. Just like that comic of Wolverine VS Hulk and Hulk tears him in half, literally, which is a realistic portrayal of any fight they would get in (Hulk has Wolverine level of regeneration which is basically all Wolverine relies on). But that comic was edgy and brutal and regular comics don't go there.

Look at that airplane scenario. Supes would've easily catch and safely land that airplane, due to his ability to use air as a step.

this primarily focused on MCU Ironman. Which has been shown on several occasions to be a fraction of Comic Ironman. Comic Ironman has A series of suits literally dubbed "God Buster". These are Celestial Titan-sized armors. Although he did not build the first one, and it was destroyed, he built a second one that surpassed it, can kept the thing in a Mars Orbit. there is also a variant akin to a "God Slayer" Armor, designed and built by him not only in a virtual space, but in reality as well. This armor was so powerful, he destroyed it himself after it's purpose was done, along with destroying the factory that built it and the servers that backed up everything the factory built. Homelander may be the strongest in his universe, but to Tony Stark, opponents with powers on par or superior to Homelander are a casual Thursday.

Marvel superheroes exist in a multiverse where hopping around the universe with literal gods and heading to other universes to hang with your alter-egos are routine things to do on a Friday night. To keep up with colleagues who are the smartest man in the universe (whose son can create pocket dimensions), the strongest being in the universe, and the greatest sorcerer in a universe where sorcerers are a common occupation, Iron Man has kept his armors top of the line. The universe of The Boys is weak compared to the Marvel Universe. I'm pretty sure your friendly neighborhood Spider-man could give Homelander a good fight. He can definitely dodge his eye beams.

It was explicitly stated that due to physics, he couldn't. It had nothing about strength, but the plane can not survive structurally from being lifted from a surface pressure point of that of a human, HL would pierce through the plane's skin like foil. Iron Man's feats still show he is capable of beating home lander though.

He also needs leverage. Can cannot magically push himself against the universe, like Omni-man or Superman. Look at the episode where he flew up, and Kimiko’s telekinetic brother dropped a train on him. Because he was in the air “no/little leverage”, train pushed him down a few stories and burried him for some time. Whereas if he stood up, he could just smack it away. Homelander does not have infinite magical leverage, and that makes sense physics’s wise.

Homelander can be mortally wounded via high-caliber military projectile weapons and has never demonstrated feats of strength surpassing spiderman´s (10 to 25 tons class). Iron Man is in the 100+ tons class and is armed to the teeth with weaponry that is lightyears further advanced than anything found in Homelanders universe. If you´re looking for the weakest marvel character that might still end Homelander or at least give him a run for his money, consider Wolverine.

Homelander can lift the weight of the plane but he can't lift the whole of the weight without just going through the plane because he's more durable than it, there would have to be multiple Homelanders at multiple points slowing it down bcus that's physics. Most Iron Man suits would actually lose to Homelander's offensive capabilities. But, Tony Stark has *so many* different suits. If we're allowing Stark full access, he obviously wins due to his intelligence, resources etc. If we limit Stark's access to one plan with one suit, then he might lose. Still, as sneaky and tactically intelligent Homelander is, he isn't a fraction as smart as Tony Stark, so all Tony needs to win is the right resources/tools.

If it's his Nanosuit - Ironman has this. Other suits? It wouldn't be so easy IF Ironman could even win. But I think it would come down to Tony's exp vs Homelanders... well, mental health lmao. Things like Ironmans laser would be a plus for him in his other pre-Infinity War suits - his usual weapons might not do it - ALTHOUGH, Queen Maeve did quite hurt him with a stick by stabbing inside his ear, and she was kicking his ass (sorta). I do believe that Iron-man's suits are as strong as her (and there was a bruise on Thor's head after he and Ironman duelled in the first Avengers movie) so I think it would come down to keeping him off balance enough to kick his ass in good ole Fisticuffs. His Nano-suit is kinda op tho as it looks like he can create whatever he needs at the time to just ruin Homelander.

I wanna point out that the plane thing is actually not an issue of Homelander being too weak, it's a physics thing since The Boys likes to stick closer to real world physics. Due to a single point of contact on the plane being the only thing holding it up HL would just tear the plane in half if he tried to lift it from below like that. That said, I DO think that Iron Man would pull out the win here, as you mentioned, even if HL truly is unable to be killed by standard human weapons, Stark-tech weaponry is in a whole different level compared to anything a standard military would have. Also I am somewhat dubious if HL could actually survive a nuke, he HAS survived explosions of significant size relatively unscathed in the Diabolical animation BUT he's never actually had a nuke thrown at him in-universe. Regardless the idea of HL getting his ass beat by a human who's just smarter, has built better weapons and is better prepared than him just feels strangely satisfying to think about.

Vs Battle Wiki does a good job of this, Homelander's best durability feat is considered "City Block" level, about 8B on their tier system. Iron Man(MCU) is considered Large Country Level at LEAST, putting him in High 6B. Two whole tiers higher then Homelander. And his Durability is on the same scale, surviving against Thanos AND Mjölnir in Endgame. Homelander is a big fish in a relatively small pond. I'd argue there are a long list of Superheroes that could mop the floor with Homelander, at least based on what he displays. Even if you put Homelander's durability at country level, there are STILL a number of heroes that could do it.
