Wolverine has been burned down to a skeleton and kept its shape, that would be impossible if his joints would not be the same way as his bones. It’s poisoning him. In the Marvel Comics, Wolverine first shows signs of advanced adamantium poisoning in X-Men (1991) #99, written by Alan Davis, Terry Kavanagh, and Brett Booth. the reason wolverines healing factor is weaker its because the adamantium covered his bones((our bone marrow is responsible for releasing blood cells into the bloodstream when they are mature and when required. Without bone marrow, our bodies could not produce the white cells we need to fight infection, the red blood cells we need to carry oxygen, and the platelets we need to stop bleeding)) and also its constantly regenerating from adamantium poisoning.
@jasonlauritsen55872 ай бұрын
One thing that people who've never read Deadpool at all or much, always get wrong is that him being able to talk when he's had his head removed, is that it's not his healing factor that enables him to still function, it's that he got cursed by Thanos to not be able to die. All that his healing factor does in decapitation instances, is make it so that once reattached, it seals itself back together. And as for Wolverine healing himself back from a single drop of blood, that wasn't his healing factor, it was the M'Kram crystal (i know its spelled wrong, but I'm not about to reread it or go looking online for the proper name), that saw whom he is and decided that he was worthy of it's powers, making him a god able to do anything, and with that power he revived/reformed the other X-men, and gave up the power due to knowing he didn't need, bor deserve it.
@wolfbrigade80422 ай бұрын
I always thought the key to Wolverine's healing factor was the adamantium skeleton itself. Basically, without the adamantium, he could actually get killed by being torn to pieces. But because of the adamantium skeleton, his bones (and his brain inside the skull) will always be safe so he can always just heal up as long as the skeleton remains. And with adamantium being nigh indestructible, his skeleton WILL remain 99% of the time. That's just what I always assumed tho. I thought Wolverine's healing would be much weaker without the adamantium or rather his healing could get "out-damaged" without it.
@dtill53222 ай бұрын
No, his healing factor is his core mutant ability. It's why when classifying him as a mutant. You have seen him classified amongst the top 3 classes Omega, Alpha, and Beta. The fact that he has adamantium in him. It suppresses his healing factor's full potential and ability. Which would be at the Omega level along with his other heightened abilities.
@garymccray7822Ай бұрын
I think it would make a huge difference if we are talking Logan with or without adamantium. Without adamantium, Logans unfettered healing factor is off the charts, but he loses the benefit of both being unbreakable and his claws being able to cut just about damn near anything. The other interesting tradeoff here is that the loss of all that added weight from the adamantium would make Logan much, much faster and more agile than he already is (and the dude is by no means slow as it is). Lastly, its been suggested that Logan is, or would be, in a state of continuous evolution. His mutant gene would be in a constant state of progression if it weren't for the adamantium interfering with his healing factor/biological processes. I'm not sure if this last part is canon, but it definitely is an interesting idea to think about. What could Logan become in another say 100-200 years if his mutation continued to evolve and progress without the adamantium holding him back?

Actually this is a topic a lot of people seem to miss on and understandable because there’s a lot being said in such a short span of time. Wolverine didn’t mainly die from adimantium poisoning in Logan. It was actually from a government programme that used genetic therapy within every day products and food that started to genetically adulterated Logan’s mutant genetics in an attempt to control mutant kind. It’s actually said at the end of Logan just before he shoots Zander Rice, Strikers son. But because of his healing factor slowly failing from this, the adimantium poisoning starts to happen adding more strain on Logan’s already failing body.
@VincentMcmanus.22 күн бұрын
I'd say they're actually evenly matched. Wolverine has the adamantium slowing down his healing factor, meanwhile, Deadpool has super cancer slowly winning out against his own. There was a whole series of comics where DP had to obtain some of Hulk's blood to supplement his own against the cancer. So, if we're talking about who has the best healing factor, the answer is clear. Hulk wins. Wolvie and DP are both evenly matched.

I think that was explained by the adamantium in his skeleton combining with his healing factor, which altered the metal into adamantium-B; a more organic form of adamantium. Unless there’s a spin off, the comics make it pretty clear that deadpools healing factor is stronger. In the comics deadpools healing factor was a derivative of Wolverines healing factor DNA. Similar to X23. Except the healing factor they based on wolverines was enhanced. And, the fact they share a similar amount of DNA is why Deadpool has always had a hard on for wolverine. But in the comics it’s made clear that Deadpool has an enhanced version of Logan’s. For the most part it’s really rare that wolverine can regrow arms or regenerate from a drop of blood. That’s not his cannon healing factor, his isn’t that strong. Dead pools cannon healing factor is that strong but wolverines isn’t.

Can adamantium be bent, with enough force? I've not read every comic ever written, so I don't know if it's ever come up. We all know that adamantium is "practically" indestructible. But it's not entirely; every element has its point. Theoretically, if a hulk, or a vibranium wrecking ball, or some huge force hit Wolverine's skeleton just right, it could BEND his arm, or DENT his skull? And his bones may be able to heal, but because the metal isn't part of him, that bent bit would stay bent. Unless some force were applied in the opposite direction, which would be even more massive trauma. Another question I've had is: does the adamantium "cover" his skeleton, or is it INFUSED into his skeleton? Because, like, a micron-thick layer- or even a millimeter-thick layer- of even a very strong metal is not going to be that strong. But if the metal is actually infused into the spaces of his bones, between the cells, all the way through the living tissue: there's some strength there. On the other hand, if that were the case, how could those bones continue to thrive? Bones are living tissue too; they need blood flow and nutrients; they can heal from damage. Theoretically, Logan should be riddled with arthritis, as his bones attempt to calcify over the foreign substance. But arthritis isn't "healthy," so that's the cause of the conundrum in his healing factor? Yet another question: if his bone claws are knobby pointy cylinders, why are his adamantium claws thin sharp smooth blades? Has that ever been addressed in canon? And lastly: it's fiction. It's fantasy. It's something cool to drive the plot, and too much logic applied ruins the illusion. So really, none of this discussion ultimately matters. It's an interesting academic exercise, but I sure don't subscribe too strongly to any fan theory, or try too hard to make science work for real. Fantasy doesn't need it to be enjoyed; just have fun. :)

Pool's healing factor in comic is a little bit different than moive pool, yeah the X-serum part is still the same, but in the comic, Thanos love Death ( the Grim reaper in Marvel universe) , but Death is interested in Deadpool. so he cursed Deadpool to never be able to die so he'll never be able to be with Death . so yeah, he's litterally unkillable.

They didn’t really demonstrate that in the movie. Logan directly says it’s the metal. But yeah the cannon cause is the corn syrup and GMOs that was put in the food and booze. And it wasn’t really a cure it was just a suppressant.

@FFVogter.-em6zz2 ай бұрын
Deadpool has the stronger healing factor. It's due to it being injected in both his living and cancerous cells in an attempt to get the latter destroyed by the former, thus causing Deadpool to be able to regenerate from and survive decapitation, something that has been stated to be a surefire way of killing Wolverine apart from drowning. Some even argue that what Deadpool has is not a healing factor but an undying factor as his living and dying cells are constantly being replaced.

Man, if you highball this, it's a wash. Their greatest feats both include coming back from just blood. Wolverine has a skeleton grafted with an indestructible adimantium that contains and protects soft tissue from which he can regenerate, and a highballed deadpool litterally can not die. But I have to call bs on such highball feats because in the average adventure with these guys, they're not constantly dealing with hundreds of clones spawn from their dandruff or something. Therefore, we can conclude that said highball feats are merely that of plot contrivance and not the default traits of either character. I'd also rule out their lowball feats like slow regen or stuff that they could normally take that straight up, put an end to them. I'd say that without any special assists (explained or otherwise), each can only regenerate if a certain amount of their respective biomass survives to regenerate from. Ie headpool is still alive, but he ain't growing a new body. Based on each of their common feats, I'd give the edge to deadpool on regenerative ability as he regularly has something lopped off where as Wolverine is usually "just" impaled. Conversely, I'd give the durability feat to Wolverine as it generally takes a lot more to hurt him in the first place. That being said, deadpool would likely do less well in most dangerous situations as he'd suffer a faster rate of attrition than Wolverine and would logically drop below the regeneration mass freshold more quickly than Wolverine would under the same conditions, even if his regeneration biomass freshold is lower.

Alright so here is something that gets glossed over a fair bit. Wolverine CAN die and has done so multiple times. However, each time Death comes to collect, Wolverine has managed to kick her ass and return to living, which makes him effectively Immortal. Deadpool on the other hand is actually Immortal. See Thanos's whole obsession with killing half the universe has nothing to do with 'balance' and everything to do with a crippling infatuation with the living incarnation of Death, the same one Wolverine has to fight to keep his life. Unfortunately for Thanos, Death is head over heels in love with Deadpool. So to keep them from ever being together Thanos made Deadpool immortal. Because he can't actually die, Deathpools healing factor is allowed to force him to recover from things that should have killed him. Hope this helps!

The “better” healing factor on paper is Wolverine because it completely heals his body to where he’s healthy. Deadpool’s brings him back to his cancerous state so he’s not really being “healed”. But realistically Deadpool’s healing factor is better it’s more aggressive.

I personally don’t like how their healing factors are portrayed. I don’t mind the fact that they can heal from almost anything, it’s just during combat they shouldn’t be able to just walk through anything. It takes away from any stakes of them being in trouble. The fact that they still supposed to feel pain and can be injured at all doesn’t come through most of the time. Human or low level characters shouldn’t even be interacting with these guys. I would prefer for them to take longer to heal and even take time to do it. They shouldn’t be able to plow though everything
